My GTA keeps crashing.

A couple of days ago GTA was loading for too long, so I paused the game in the Resource Monitor. Then I resumed the game, and it actually worked - the game stopped loading. 

 

Ever since this happened, the game just crashes as soon as I start the game and leave my garage. I tried to fix the problem by verifying the game data, erasing temporary files and more. But nothing worked. 

 

Today I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and tried again. Now the game crashes before I get in a session. I have about 5 GB left in storage, which might be the problem. What should I do?

Does this only happen in Online and is story mode still working normally?

If yes, it might be a problem with your online character and you need to contact Rockstar support.

Or start the game in Story mode, and start an Invite-Only session to see if that works.

Nope. Story mode crashes too. I guess contacting Rockstar support still is a good idea though. Thanks!

You can try to manually erase your local player profile files - on Steam verifying data wont work every time in fixing problems (if you are on steam version - and if you are one Rockstar version you need to erase profile anyway ).

When you erase 'corrupted' locals, game will download correct fresh ones from RS servers.
