Is Every World Record hacked?

Playing through different races, even the open wheel ones, is every world record hacked?  Each track, the time are like 30 secs.  I get how they could be manipulated on PC, but Consoles too?  Unless they are all connected?  Good thing I got the award way back in 2013.  You would think Rockstar would at least do a monthly or quarterly reset for these.

The race timer sometimes bugs out and starts later than the race itself, resulting in some of these weird times. I have a world record due to this bug.

They’re all bullsh*t, either hacked or bugged R* should have fixed this years ago.  For those that want the award you’ll have to wait until a new race releases and immediately do it, usually within a few hours the new world record is bugged too.

On the PC we have cheaters, from changing engine power output, to the drag coefficient, or to blatant instantly teleport through the checkpoints, cheating cannot be stopped unless Rockstar implement a system of Demos where people could check how each person got it's own record like in Trackmania.

 

On the consoles there was glitch where could trigger the change in the order of the checkpoints, with enough Shuffles you could get your first checkpoint as the last and get unreal times.

 

People will do anything to get that blonde chick on their arm.

I remember I got that award in 2013; there used to be a glitch in the race where you go round prison, after the first lap you'd be rewarded with 5k RP and the award, good times haha.

with exception of a few helicopter races and like 2 open wheel races, pretty much every other record is modded, its ridiculous R* never bothered trying to fix them since that give you something to aim for.

For anyone trying to get the world record award without losing their minds, play a Wreck It race. I get a "world record" on most laps.

 

If you want to get the award legitimately: good luck and sorry for your sanity.

Premium races normally have legit times too, but the people who get those times are like level 1000 with 10k races.

The Open Wheel race at LSIA on Xbox One has like a 13 second world record time. Even a God-Tier Lance Armstrong's Left Nut "Legit" driver on Xbox would only get about a 1/5 through the track in 13 seconds. This isn't at all new. Hell back on Forza Horizon 1 it wasn't uncommon to see leaderboards for Speed Traps that were at impossibly high numbers even before the cheaters showed up (360 was wild near the end), even on Horizon 2 which had no PC version. It was actually common for certain speed traps to have the top speeds be like 687MPH or higher because of a speed glitch that you could do in certain spots. Some of these Records are cheaters, some however could be exploiters forcing the game to freak the hell out and not keep time, or the game just spawned them about 90% of the way through a lap....that latter case is strangely possible given the amount of times I've spawned in the damned ocean on that one Hotring Race around the Lighthouse. Also spawned in the Alamo sea with 3 players before on the mission you steal to RV for Mr. Drug Guy in the Hood who shall not be named.....and it wasn't a case of they started a job from free mode and spawned us there. We had done 5 missions before that point. So it's entirely possible if the leaderboards aren't cross platform there is some glitchy wonky sh*t on PS4 and Xbox being used. PC is for sure script-kiddies.

Damn people complaining about WRs on consoles, you should come to PC.
