_RoSs
Hello I am RoSs and welcome to my first mod! I'm not new to the forum, I visit it almost daily but I never made an account before 'cuz I never needed one. Now I have an excuse to be part of the community so please don't mind the absence of a profile pic. | Introduction I always wondered why nobody made a PROPER intro remaster mod for the original game so, a few months back, after I watched _AG's GTA3 intro remake video on his channel I decided to make a complete mod. I asked Lions, a friend of mine for a bit of help and after a some research, hours and hours of practice with Adobe Premiere (guess who's new to the software?), work by trial and error, we finally managed to complete this piece of art. | The Mod With this mod you are spoiled for choice: PC or PlayStation 2 intro, 1080p, 2K or 4K resolution, 25fps (PAL), 30fps (NTSC) or 60fps. Satisfy your every need. So if you want to do a pure "PlayStation 2" playthrough on your beloved PC, now you can download the PAL or NTCS version and install it in a bunch of clicks; if you are an fps lover you can try the amazing 60fps and feel superior to the petty peasants that use lower refresh-rates. Grand Theft Auto III: Intro Remaster - PlayStation 2 Edition Preview | PC Version Full HD (1080p) 2K (1440p) 4K (2160p) | PlayStation 2 Version Full HD (1080p) 2K (1440p) 4K (2160p) As an amazing modder would say: installation is simple as a pie. Drag and drop the "movies" folder into the game's directory and replace everything, you'll find all the info in the pack. The mod works perfectly with the downgraded (v1.0) Steam copy but I never tested it on other versions. So if anybody wants to give it a try on RGL/other versions of the game and let me know it would be amazing | Credits & Permissions This mod was made by me and my friend Lions that gave me permission to publish here with his name. Big shout to ya homie! We made this mod as an act of love for the game and the community. Feel free to repost this mod wherever you like, all we ask is to include all the original files into the pack with credits. All rights reserved to the copyright owners. No copyright infringement intended. In the next weeks I'll try to render and test the mod on the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition and see if I can make the mod work on the new game as well. I'm also working on an identical mod for Vice City and San Andreas but don't expect something in the near future.
