potramen
When will RDR2 get rereleased on modern consoles? (PS5/XSX) I know its performance enhanced on those platforms but I'd also like to see a definitive current gen version We all know its inevitable... subvod
Be aware that GTA VI is allegedly "officially" in development. Best we can hope for as far as RDR2 goes is a re-release in the next decade, hopefully not as sh*tty a dumpster fire as the GTA Trilogy amounted to. Even right now, the game looks gorgeous. Not entirely sure what you mean by "definitive". PC master race need not worry about "current gen" not supporting whatever game(s). I saved up for a decent, current model laptop. It runs the few modern games I play better than on my Xbox One X. Granted at four times the cost, but I'm also able to use it as a computer and not just some entertainment box. TwistOfLime21
Do we really need it though? The game looks phenomenal on older consoles anyway. I'm not sure how much better it could be on newer ones and look noticeable at the same time.

kubon352
Because GTA will sell better, that's why.
videotech_
It probably will happen, but Rockstar seems interested about GTAV right now which is nothing but disappointment considering RDR2 is their latest game. Not to mention PS5 users will still have to put up with Rockstar's terrible checkerboard rendering implementation for much longer. It winds me that GTAV gets all these fancy features like DualSense support, which would work best with RDR2 and even 60FPS support. I personally predict after E&E, all eyes will be on RDRO and GTAVI (hopefully at least). We have to play the waiting game now, personally though I don't see Rockstar and Take-Two abandoning the game considering the game has reached its 43 million unit threshold announced during its latest investor call conference, there was even like 6 plus unannounced ports of previously released games listed on Take-Two's investor report so it could be one of them. potramen
Miugo22
all PS4 games backwards backwards compatible with ps5 so that count as a re release to rockstar. RDR online is dead so i dont think it will ever get the gta 5 treatment for next gen consoles

As someone who owns a PC and monitor that is top of the line in every way, the graphics can be much better on console. Sharpness, color vibrancy, and lighting are 3 things that can be greatly improved, for example. It would definitely be noticeable but only at higher resolutions than 1080. I use 2160 res with every setting set as high as possible and the world look as real as the real world. If I set it on 1080 it looks like console. With that being said, the graphics on consoles are better than any other game I've played, by far. I've played RDO on PS4.
