I haven't played the game in years but both of those (along with a few other visual mods) made a huge difference. It's like comparing GTA IV and RDR1 (2008/2010) with GTA Vice City (2002!). So my point is: GTA V didn't age badly, it's just beginning to feel naturally outdated. I mean if i had to pick one, I still kinda prefer GTA4 over 5, but both were very enjoyable. I do agree though that GTA5's campaign felt a little short. The security contracts pay so little for the amount of work ive only done enough for the trade prices. Pretty much the only content Ive played more then a few times is the payphone hits, but theres the other problem, theyve basically become a chore. I just hope that Rockstar takes the time go back and look at features and elements from GTA4, Gta5, and RDR2 and implement them in a balanced way so that game feels super immersive and fun at the same time. Biggest gripes were with the driving physics (trucks not being able to move mini cars, it’s still an issue in the game today) lack of interiors, watered down shooting mechanics and damage models for NPCs and enemies, realizing that most of the mountains are barren waste of memory (thank god RDR2 fixed this) the overall simplistic map design (a single road that loops around Homer Simpson’s head) the radio, the uselessness of Paleto bay, the rough GTAO launch, the AI in general, and melee combat.
