Are you going to get E&E now that we have more details?

When GTA Online E&E was first announced, the reception was overwhelmingly negative. But all we had to go on back then was a recycled trailer and nothing else, so it was too easy to jump to conclusions. Now we have more details as to what E&E will entail -- a Career Builder, a new custom shop, new vehicles, elite driving physics, and more.

 

Now that we have more details, has the news changed your mind? Are you going to get E&E? Discuss.

Yes, especially considering it's going to be free for PS5 players for the first three months, but whether it's going to remain free after those three months or not I'm not sure.

Only if I buy a ps5 within the first three months of its release. I won't pay another $60 for a 2013 game with prettier graphics and a couple more cars.

The wording was interesting, they're saying everyone can get GTA Online for free for 3 months regardless of ownership, then you'll pay - but what about existing players? Almost makes it sound like a free upgrade and their way of getting new people to buy the new versions if they don't own the old ones is by allowing access to a 3 month "trial" of GTAO.

 

I know T2 will probably want to charge for the GTA V E&E upgrade but still...

You are all misunderstanding. Think of it as a PS Plus game just with three times the 'for sale' length - if you download it within those three months it is yours while you are subscribed (or if you resubscribe down the line) to the service, which you would have to have done anyway if you wanted to play online.

I used to be the one with Xbox Series X and a family relative with PS5, but he has since switched to PC. So now I have both consoles.

 

Don't mind me grabbing the free standalone edition.

i mainly play on pc but i do have a ps5, so il grab it when its free, transfer my old dusty ps4 character, play a bit seeing whats new and shelf it until the pc version comes out

I won't buy a new gen console soon. Maybe when GTA 6 is out or after a few years have passed and there is plenty of new DLC content, at the moment I'm really tired of GTAO, so only years of new content might bring my interest back.

GTAO is my comfort food video game. I'll get E&E when I can. However, transferring my character will depend on how that works and what the options will be for playing on PS4 with my friends who are slow to upgrade.

So once the PC version, which doesn't exist because we already have the most enhanced version there is, comes out you are going to start playing on the PS5 again?

Your options are: Play on PS4 with your friends or play on PS5 alone, highly doubt there will be any sort of crossplay if that's what you were hoping about.

once the new tech comes out for pc like ray tracing and other improvements then i will go back to pc. I was saying i would shelf the ps5 version

It depends on how much it is actually improved and how much it costs. I'm not too keen on buying this game for the third time but if the price is fair and the improvements are good then I won't have a problem with it.

I gonna find someone trustworthy to lend my PSN details so they can make the purchase for me on a PS5, then it's just a matter of getting the console for myself.

 

It's probably gonna be late this year.
