What do you think about the new Career Builder?

"New GTA Online players will now enter the Career Builder, with instant access to their choice of one of four illicit businesses — Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner — and a sizable GTA$ windfall to help select a property, high-end vehicle, and the firepower required to kickstart their enterprise."

What is everyone's opinion on this? Which do you think would be the most profitable, Executive CEO with Special Warehouse CEO Crates and Import / Export or Gunrunning Bunker, doing Researches for upgrades then Manufacturing for $1,000,000+ every 10+ hours? The Gunrunning Bunker one would obviously need more money investment to unlock all Research unlocks but it's also been the most profitable passive income.

Or it might depend on what the Weekly Bonus was, whether 2x / 3x $ RP on Special Warehouse Crates or Bunker Sales.

Obviously it depends on what each comes with and if they make any changes to existing content. Biker businesses aren't good income anymore. Nightclub is pointless without biker businesses or the Bunker. Bunker is a good passive grind starter if you're a player who doesn't mind going AFK and/or only doing the delivery every 2:20 of play time. CEO with I/E garage is a decent active grind starter.

No matter what starter you get, the goal will be to get the Agency and/or Kosatka as quick as possible. Then you can actually make some money.

That I agree with. I realised that Bunker researches might not actually be needed since the Agency gun guy also presents Mk2 weapons, so I don't think you need Bunker researches unlocked? Apart from some vehicle and livery upgrades.

I thought you needed to be an executive to access the gunrunning and nightclub businesses? Well, you'd be an idiot not to. Should've been just a free Clubhouse or office with a free business. Either way it's a way to cram new players into a business without the resources or skill to really make money.

Unless they're reworking the way the game handles SecuroServ CEOs and Motorclubs, none of it makes sense.

In order to run the gunrunning and the Nightclub business you have to be registered as a CEO or Motorclub, unless they're planning to do away with this requirement altogether, which never made much sense anyway.

Even then, what's going to happen to the Import/Export and Air Freight businesses?

Honestly, it means little to me to be fair. I already own all businesses on my main (and retired them all aside the occasional nightclub sale), and unless these become available in invite lobbies etc, I'll not bother with these on another account either.

I'll use an old account just to have a look at the new tutorial for sh*ts and giggles, but it'll be business as usual for me on this. Just with new/faster cars and so on, which is all I expected.

But hey, if newer players get some free sh*t and it helps them enjoy the game, cool cool. :)

I'm probably not even going to bother with it. I like having a slow sense of progression from petty street thug to criminal overlord. I've made multiple new characters within the last month or two, and every time I've ignored all of the criminal enterprise stuff and bought a dump truck with the initial added shark card money because it messes with that progression I've come to enjoy. Whenever the time comes I make a new character on E&E (or if rockstar finally catches and deletes my old modded character), I'm going up the traditional way again.

Can't imagine anyone but a very young adult needing this type of help in gta online. Rockstar or whoever is getting way too cute with this sh*t.

What's worse is it's without a doubt just shoving you into the terrible sh*t in the criminal enterprise starter pack. Who can forget the classics in it such as "bunker that's a million miles away from the actual game so all of your deliveries time out", or the throw your time and money into a furnace business counterfeit money factory? That's all this going to be doing really.

You can use those businesses as VIP too, no need for CEO office or MC clubhouse. (at least gunrunning, nightclub, and most of the stuff added after the Gunrunning update)

I think you only need to be an actual CEO (with office) for the cargo and vehicle warehouse, and actual MC for the MC businesses.

Businesses are outdated in my opinion, even if you don't want to grind CPH you likely make more money by grinding Autoshop or Agency missions.

I think R* is trying to help people like me who love story mode get back on track. Because I'm so far behind everyone here. I have nothing to start the DLC, and I'm nowhere close to starting a business.

The game is weird, I bought a clubhouse but couldn't earn a can of eCoke. Convenience stores make more money than me. Then I realized that I was stuck in an infinite loop. I don't know what I'm fighting for.

Since I have nothing, I am not interested in the profitability of the business. I don't want to start a business by grinding. I just want a short cut to continue the game, start the DLC and enjoy the cutscenes.

I really don't see why you'd pick anything but gunrunner if i'm being honest, especially because nightclubs are next to useless if you dont own any prior businesses. Being able to whittle away at research and make some okay money (if you use your bonus money to upgrade the bunker) seems like a no brainer to me, since it would be making stuff to sell while you're out in the world leveling up and doing other things

I would buy biker businesses to suppprt Nightclub.  Then let NC fill up and do drops get money.  I don’t grind MC or Auto Export any more and never cared for the others.

I sell NC in optimal lobby when gets to be about $200 k so use the smaller, faster vehicle.  If they made MC $37.5 k purch supplies / double $ sell would do that too.  Otherwise not worth my time.

So would get shark card money just do my way.

would want Casino PH, Facility w Avenger, yacht.  No bunker biz.

like it when contact jobs 2x money.  If it doesn’t pay right away like the contact jobs don’t care for it.

For the majority of GTA Forum members, pointless. However I think it perfect for those new to the game. as lets be honest it's very challenging to start from nothing in GTA Online today as you will most likely lose hope and quit.

Its interesting to note that like Red Dead Online, Rockstar is once again trying to set out a career path for you.

What do I think? Not a damn thing because it hasn’t been released yet and no one knows exactly what the hell it even is.

It'll probably be a free Paleto bunker, Document Forgery, small warehouse, or a Nightclub with no connected businesses. Oh and they'll have zero trade in value like the Criminal Enterprise pack.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

A free office or clubhouse would be good but none of the businesses are worth it. I/E pay is trash with having to do a mission to steal a car, pay for damages and then sell the car for 80k profit for highend vehicles when the payphone hits have the same cooldown, take less time to complete, can be done in invite only sessions and pay more. Bunker and biker businesses require millions just to even get a profit and then still pay trash and again have to be done in public. Crates require all playtime be spent collecting them and doing the same boring missions over and over again for a small payout and again have to be done in public with everyone trying to destroy them. The money is good to put into an agency or submarine to actually start earning but as R* knew when they wrote that new players will see what R* said about the money and will waste it on a supercar and then when they see the money the business makes and then see Youtube videos of agency and Cayo earning they will buy a sharkcard to get them.

Well it deoends on how they do it if it is a good thing for new player or not.

However I feel that it would somewhat break gta onlines story of starting at the bottom and working your way up.

For me personally, well I dont really give a f*ck. My main is 892 with pretty much all worthwhile bussinesses owned and all of them shut down.

And I wouldnt delete my secondary either cause I dont want her to own any bussinesses anyway.

Just imagine what a fantastic game we’d have if business payouts, properties, everything was index linked.

at the moment, it’s cayo or agency. Everything else is too risky for too little payout. Nightclub is only viable if you have the old buisnesses in the background. But what if bunker, import export, crates and bikers had increased payout over the years. Maybe double what they pay now. All the jobs, missions, deathmatches, racing etc etc all payed double or triple. Property prices had risen, car prices risen. The game as a whole would be so much more varired than each successive update making all previous updates defunct

Farm-glitching Cayo and Casino and a couple of Autoshop and VIP jobs is still the best in 2022.

Business payouts are so bad + locked to pub lobbies so you're serving of punching ball for your local resident broomstick overlord, great gaming perspective for new players.

VIP status covers pretty much all you need = no need office, and with all the money you get from Cayo you can just fastrack(11Mio) all the bunker research. It was funny to LARP as a low life dealer in 2016 when the ultimate supersportive cars were few but not in 2022.

Bunker makes money by itself. Nightclub and Bikers need major investment to make any kind of money.
