Don't get me started on the weapon wheel. It absolutely needs to be improved, or just removed, for GTA VI. I don't need 5 different weapons for each category!!!! It's bloody annoying when the game has weapons it defaults to, so every time I die/switch character/load a save/start the game, I have to scroll thru 10 different weapons for each goddamn category to have my favorites there.

Yes, I really hope we can just choose a loadout. I hate to complain about GTA saying there is too much choice but there is. Too many weapons to be scrolling through. I usually stick to the same 3-4 weapons anyway. I do love the choice, I just don't need to carry all my weapons together all the time. Best of option is let people decide for themselves.

Having a nice armoury would be great and being able to swap the loadout would be nice.

Yeah she looks great. I even like Jason too. We'll have to see what their personalities are like. I really hope they don't bicker so much. GTA V had so much bickering between Trevor and Michael, I just couldn't replay it. It's like an episode of Eastenders on  meth/piko/Christina

Shared weapons sounds like a great idea. Also being able to swap weapons with one another on the job would be nice too.

Yeah the micro managing between 3 characters took me out of the game. I much prefer to gel with one character and feel invested in them. And kind of roleplay with the character. For example, playing GTA IV recently, I always play with a trash, beat up car for the first 3rd of the game. I live frugally and dress down. Not until I need to have meetings with people in downtown Algonquin do I start dressing up a little and looking more presentable. I'll drive a car that I think a hitman for hire like Niko might drive. It's small role-playing elements like this that Rockstar have enabled for us that allow me to really feel immersed in their games. There's a little freedom of choice, enought to make me feel like I'm contributing  and to (and having some influence to) the story in some sense.

As for betrayal at the end, yes. I very much think one of them will possibly die and you'll play on as whoever survives. It might be interesting if there isn't some binary decision at the end but a chain of events of decisions you make determines in the end who will die.

Trevor and Michael reminds me a lot of the typical American action movie where the heroes bicker a lot while SWAT teams are otw to them.

I also played like this in GTA IV. Although, I very rarely wore my suits and I wore them dressed down when I was in Alderney. The three suits with ties in the game I mostly wore exclusively for missions that required them such as that date with that gay dude, bank robbery, and interview. I was fond of the turtlenecks, though, so they were basically my main while working for the Italians.

I mostly roleplayed as a vigilante and I just collected gang cars since most of them have unique pearlescent. Good thing they narrowed the clothing options down to man and woman and bodybuilding is back.

As for GTA V, they stretched out the options too much with the 3 protags having different fashion tastes. Michael could have looked more badass with some of Franklin's clothes and hats. I dressed him up as an older cholo in my save. Franklin should have had Trevor's polo shirts as well.

That chain of events idea sounds cool. Sounds a bit like the RDR2 honor system. Perhaps if the shared honor for both is low then probably they would snitch on the most-used protag.

Haha, that's mostly what I wore. Same with suits. Rarely wore them but when visiting Ray Bocino, I'd wear the turtleneck, always dark clothing.

It's GTA 5 with a mod.

Looks to be that way. GTA III, VC and SA obviously have similarities, but those games had 1 year between them. If you take a screenshot in any of those, you can immediately tell which game it's from. This one is indistinguishable from GTA 5 and there's a 9 year gap that is still going.

Heists focused story again

Dialogue sounded straight out of gta 5

But most importantly, Bonny & Clyde is the inspiration? Might as well have picked World war 1 you f*cking boomers

Heists were just boring honestly. needed more gangster stuff. I prefer the way GTA IV did it's heist and GTA IV as a whole had more consequences.

EDIT: I see they've been contacted. I'll change it back.

GTAFORUMS just covering their backs, legally it could mean hell keeping it up. But still, we should be able to talk about the leaks somewhere. Will only drive people elsewhere, reddit etc

Just saw in another thread the mods have been asked to remove copyrighted material. I'll go back to it as soon as VI is revealed officially.

Such a missed opportunity not doing a period piece. A setting in the 80s or 70s could have offered heaps of innovative game play without the use of cell phones. It really does look like a V DLC we couldve gotten 8 years ago.. What's new or different besides the map? Its just more of the same.  I guess R* just wants to play it safe and make another trillion dollar online cash cow.

I'm just really not that excited 😕 at all. I might sit this one out fellas. The state of Rockstar just bums me out, I used to hold them in such high regard. I feel RDR2 was their swan song.

You can't be serious judging the game like that as if it's out. We have maybe 6 or 7 actual gameplay worthy clips and that's it, not even a trailer. I do agree that a period piece would be nice but calling it a gta 5 dlc is a really horrible take considering how little we actually know about the game

Of course what were looking at is an unfinished game, and a build that's a couple years old, but from what I've seen the mark that R* are aiming for is pretty clear, its everything that made V a success without straying too far from that line as to put off the crowd that have invested 100s of hours into GTA online. It just feels like the physical mechanics of the game are going to play borderline exactly same way V did. Sure a new story, cool. New map, cool. New characters, neat.

I guess after 10 years I hoped for something refreshingly different? Something innovative and new? Is that too much to expect with a series of the pedigree of GTA? You can smell the design by committee in every clip I've seen. Rockstar used to take chances and surprise you, but this really feels like they're playing it safe.

I'm sure it will be a fun game and will make a bazillion schmeckles, but It just doesn't look different enough to hype me up.

Why would you want them to do a rehash of 1980s Vice City for any other reason than having rose-tinted glasses nostalgia for a 20-year-old game? It’s been done twice now.

Good point. Its obviously an early build but I did get some V vibes and that shouldn't happen with VI.

I didn't say I wanted a remake of Vice City. A GTA not set in the 80s or Vice City (or even the US) would be something quite different and exciting. This is the 3rd time we've been to Vice City (4th if you want to count GTA) and the 3rd in a row set in modern times. See what I mean by playing it safe?

Other than the female protagonist and -70 Ranchero, I haven't seen anything too exciting or remarkable in the leaks. Everone were expecting VC setting anyway, so I wish (also as a non-fan of VC) that the leaks had hinted some other Florida city too or/and the existence of vast rural areas. I know it's all early builds etc. (hopefully 😅), but the nightclub scene is like straight from GTA online, it looks so depressingly similar. I sure hope the final build really looks and feels like GTA 6, not just enhanced 2020 era GTA Online.

Physics, vehicles and as much as you can take from the graphics at this point, it all kinda looks to "belong" into HD era still? I don't know what, but "something" about it, even at this point of the production, should hint us that we have progressed away from the HD era that GTA 4 started in 2008 and it's been 10 years since the last GTA, right? I hear people talking about "placeholders" here and there, but there are new cars, that still look really "HD era" styled, are they really just placeholders for the "real" models?

Knowing RDR2, I'm sure it's going to be and look awesome on release, but despite the scale of the leaks, my mind is not blown yet.

This. This is what the modern day crowd don't get. There's a risk of this feeling like GTAV 2.0.

It HAS to feel different to V. Graphics, physics, story, vibe. 10 years in between. There's no excuse.

@Mister Pink I hope it's not mono-city. That would be unforgivable. There HAS to be a second city. I don't expect 3 states, but I do expect 2 cities. I don't feel that's much to ask after 10 years.

First strike modders, second GTA V e&e and third, yes trilogy... Also you secretly hate players ... So thats it...

Yeah, I hear ya, bruv. For me it's

1. Multiplayer griefers, trolls, sh**-flinging monkeys (R* should have learned from the feral experiment of IV-MP before deciding to GTAO.)

2. Hiding tonnes of gameplay INSIDE gtaOnline meaning refuseniks like me (see point 1) are left with a barren city and little to do after completing the core story mission. I probably would have preferred a same-map SP DLC to being forced to co-habit with the MP community. (Yeah, you know who you are.)

3. Treating the loyal fanbase like cows for the milking. (WTF was with that trilogy BS?! And TEN YEARS to release a VI?!)

It's possible I'm just not their target demographic no mo', having played since about 1999. More money to be made milking you millennials and Z-ers, I guess.

This is a good point. What I could see did have a GTAV 2.0 feel to it, huh?

Still, early days.

GTA 5 Online, as it currently is (and has been for the past 7? years) is the most horrible online game experience out of any game. New player hops in the game, all he's got is a pistol and a f*cking milkyway bar. What is he up against? Flying cars and bikes with homing missiles, laser tanks, sattellite strikes, the list goes on and on. How is that fair? Sure, new guy can get those things too if he sinks thousands of hours in the game, that or spends thousands or real-world money because the game's economy is extremely inflated. Oh, and did I forget to mention all the cheater, exploiters etc.? And with how profitable the model is, GTA VI is 100% going to be the same sh*t, round two. 😠

GTA IV multiplayer was not perfect, but at least everyone is on equal footing.

Its going to have to be the same I'm afraid, as awful and unsatisfying as I find GTA Online to be, there's millions of kids out there with dads credit card who froth it. The problem with the enormous financial success of Online is that its backed the series into a corner, they cant change the product too much without risking literally billions of dollars. They NEED the V Online fanbase to migrate to VI online and they cant do that without the gameplay being overly familiar to the people who are already playing.

I really hope they get rid of the sluggish gameplay since IV. Please….

A lot of people don't like GTA V's improvements even though it's significantly less sluggish than GTA IV. RDR 2 put back GTA IV's sluggish gameplay and it's a pain to play that game even at 30fps.

GTA VI on the other hand seems to have incorporated some of MP3's combat fluidity. A lot of people who came from GTA IV ain't gonna like it because Max Payne combat had always been floaty.

It's not what he said, but you could have said the same in 2007 about IV. Another modern day LC.

Many of us want a period piece, rags to riches, and Vice State. Its more a coincidence that all were missing from V and that we want all in VI, rather than wanting VC again, if that makes sense.
