If that happens GTA is done, imo. Rockstar can't afford for that to happen again. Especially after 10+ years. They need a universal classic.

I think the point was more that there will always be arguments comparing the previous game and the current game, as some people will always prefer things from the previous entry, except it becomes funny because it's been a cycle since like GTA IV released

Lester.

 

Lester is the worst character in the entire GTA franchise. That guy even makes Micah Bell look like a saint to me.

His constant yelling and screaming in my ears has to be one of the biggest reasons why I don't play V anymore. It got so bad during the casino heist, that I've decided not to finish it so that Lester Crest doesn't get his happy end with that woman. I'm not even kidding.

 

Apart from that, he is just so unnecessary. There's nothing that he does that I couldn't do myself. All he does is complain and yell and take his enormous cut.

 

I know the guy is supposed to be like Joe Pesci's character from Lethal Weapon, I believe Leo Getz was his name. But holy sh*t did they fail at that.

 

I never, ever want to see or hear him again. I hate that character with a passion that can not be described.

Of course, but it needs to have features that will please the 80%, in a way that SA and VC did.

 

Multiple cities (even two), interiors, stronger storyline, IV's combat physics and dare I say it - a period setting - should do the trick.

... that would totally please me tbh. 

 

Add actual activities in those interiors (sitting down, having drinks or dinner) and an enhanced version of RDR2's fist fighting mechanics and I'd be totally pleased.

Isn't it the other way around? I see this more as a dilemma situation. Where dropping RDO updates is undesirable, but helps them to facilitate VI development. If Rockstar kept a team dedicated to RDO, then wouldn't the VI team crunch upon hitting an obstacle since asking for more workforce isn't an option? Other than hiring new devs ofc.

That's not even the same office/building anymore, it's A LOT bigger now.  Entire building for themselves now, whereas before it was shared.
