yes, improvements, but won't be as new, refreshing and bold as V's multiplayer to IV's or RDR's. It will likely be V's Online with more depth and options for role-playing, storytelling, and w/ faster loading times.

I can totally understand the sentiment, but the purpose of the marketing campaign for the 'next title' will be to maximize the return on investment. That's all. Sell more copies of the game, activate brand tie-ins, set the scene for those all-important opportunities for recurrent consumer spending.

 

Diehard GTA fans, as a kind of niche segment, will likely be low on the list of priorities for that kind of thing. Instead they'll be figuring out how to get everyone talking about the launch hype, and promote awareness to gamers who might not usually engage with GTA all that much.

 

Of course Rockstar should talk more openly and more often with its fans. The coded, aloof and corporate tone of yesterday's Newswire is pretty desolate, once again a lesson in how to alienate folk and waste time. But that's just very bad comms as usual, not the marketing they'll be cooking-up.

I know right! All those dirty horrible studios that interactively communicate with fans, killing the mystery and actually talking upfront about what they're doing and why. Answering questions, involving player feedback in the project process, even helping the playerbase to understand all the different kinds of creative and professional work that goes into making games. Disgusting!

Off-topic but FYI to those who noticed this, Invision have fixed it and I've just applied their patch for it. You'll still see them while the tweet is loading apparently, but once it's loaded it's no more.

I feel like they will release GTA VI on PC on the same day as the console version comes out.

The reason is that not much people can get a next gen console besides a Xbox series s. I know its easier to get a console now but rockstar wants everyone to be playing the game. 

The PC gaming Userbase is bigger than ever and its growing by the day.

I'm not so sure about that honestly. Look at how they're treating PC users even when it comes to E&E, which is probably going to be a simple update.

 

The current gen console userbase should reach the ~80m mark within the next 18-20 months, as it is almost halfway there already, even with the supply constraints and all that, and the situation will keep on getting better with time anyway. VI will probably be released in 2024 when all is said and done, so the console userbase won't be an issue for them.

Man, Sony alone already sold 20 million units of PS5, it's enough to easily hit 1 billion mark in 24 hours right now, let alone in 2 years.
