Nothing is surer than October this year, in my "purely honest" opinion.

 

The real question is, are you ready to hear "Why did I move here? I guess it was the mountains" line?

Let’s take a look at Rockstar’s announcement timeline:

GTA V: October

GTA V PC: June

La Noire VR: September

RDR2: October

RDR2 PC: October

GTA Trilogy DE: October

 

Based on this pattern, we are highly likely getting an announcement this October. I don’t think R* would wait until October 2023 since they confirmed that the development of next GTA is well underway.

If VI ends up receiving the same level of time/care/resources to produce as RDR2 did then it's going to be monumental. I consider RDR2 to be the very first "AAAA" game to have ever been made and it sets the bar and expectations for GTA VI.

Every year around this time it's always like that. Last year and the year before people thought it was going to be announced that fall. It honestly probably won't be announced this year, if a 2024 release is the plan I imagine they want to announce it closer to the release date this time so the community isn't rushing them.

WTF?! I mean I'm sure they have employees that are not ready to work on main ports of GTA6! they could give them a chance to remaster RDR1 for PC and next gen why not? wtfffff

 

Why they bought R* Dundee? it was not for GTA:Trilogy DE... maybe it was only for dumb E&E? lol or PC version of GTA6? 
 

Those MFs better buy new studios for remastering and remaking old games + online content

Are you saying I shouldn't believe the marketing agency/R* insider GTA_VI_LEAKS? I thought anyone who could leak so much info for two years and not be sued down to their last penny MUST be reliable.

Tbh I’m so happy that R* has changed their plans and focused only on GTA VI. I wouldn’t wanna wait another 5 years due to remaster/remakes.

They likely wouldn't impact that. Don't forget we got the L.A. noire remaster in 2017. Which was an odd choice of a remaster, in and of itself...

To me personally, what Tez posted isn't surprising in the least, TDE reception or not, I personally never thought they were developing an RDR1 or GTA IV remaster given they seem to be fully focusing on VI and GTAO etc. A RAGE game would definitely be in-house so they'd have to put aside resources for it.

Do you mean upgrading RDR2 with an Enhanced/E&E edition for PS5/XSX? Yes. Rockstar has plans for that and I've heard about them for a long time now. But no idea when tho.

 

Likely doesn't have as much priority as it used to with all the focus on GTA VI. By next year, most if not all of Rockstar's workforce should be working on VI.

I actually thought RDR1 made sense, with it not being available on PC, ever. And the positive sales of RDR2. A remaster, at that time felt like it made sense. And when you look at L.A. Noire getting a seemingly random remaster in 2017... if that game gets one, then you surely have to think a game like RDR1 would get one.

I am always highly skeptical of rumours like these, until more reputable people can back them up.
