I'm hoping for something closer to Red Dead 2 or GTA IV than GTAV, less bombastic Hollywood and more gritty/realistic.

It's probably gonna be somewhere in the middle, a story with some serious tones with funny/hollywood action moments to balance it out. GTA5 did crazy numbers with it's arcade style so I don't see that element going anywhere.

lol this is no different than GTA V having pre-release fake leaks and actual potential leaks of a 2011 announcement, then it was announced later in the year more properly. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Just that GTA Online exists and people got all sensitive with it, even though it's a great cover for the increasing complexity of AAA games.

 

GTA Online does well, they can keep updating that while they also take their time perfecting GTA VI. Could you imagine if there was no GTA Online and it was just actual pure silence?

I agree, they could have done a lot more to make freeroam more fun (drug dealing, making the businesses more interactive, maybe bring the cop gameplay from GTA4 back) it felt like the activities in GTA5 were kind of an after thought.

I'd say either September for the GTA5 anniversary (like a video starts out as a 9 and flips into a 6) or early October.

Eh, I'd feel more confident with September to November 2024. That said, Rockstar doesn't really care too much where their games release.

GTA V didn't. So there are no guarantees. Although I do believe we will still get one.

Btw, I never said we wouldn't get any kind of release window or date. I only said I feel more confident about late 2024 than early 2024.
