GTA V's map would have been better than a Las Venturas Map of 2013. The downside to GTA V being Las Venturas would have been all the casinos at the time of the rise of microtransactions & Shark Cards.

You're probably right. Also, I doubt that Las Venturas could carry a game by itself, let alone for 10 years.

 

Which is funny, because in SA I always thought LS was the weakest city and that it was carried by the countyside. In V it's the other way around.

I don't think there's anything special in V's Santos over a hypothetical Venturas setting. Both would've worked and carried Online until now. Even the "Pursuit of the almighty dollar" theme would fit Venturas more explicitly, and all that futuristic stuff in Online? Area 69 would explain it all!!

No idea. There's always an influx of users when a new GTA is announced. Albeit I've only officially been here for one. Many might open new accounts. Others already have.

As all communities it ebbs, flows, and cycles, some people stay for a while then leave, others stay, new ones come in, sometimes old ones come back when proper news comes. Happened with RDR2 as well.

No evidence at least yet, but suspects predicts the trailer will be released later this year.

GTA V & RDR2 were both announced in mid/late October, with a trailer coming 2 to 8 days later. Make of that what you will.
