I still think that we would get another R* game announcement before GTA VI.

Rockstar needs competition bro, looks like people are afraid of doing games of the same genre as theirs nowadays, remember Gun? A lot of people argue it's a better game than Red Dead Revolver, I'm not saying a new Gun would be better than RDR1 or RDR2, but at least it could be a cool game while we wait for the next Red Dead and the same goes for GTA competition.

Yep, Gun was superior. I played Red Dead Revolver back in the day and didn't even bother to finish it. It was an average/okay game at best. Red Dead Redemption was the one who really brought the Red Dead series into the spotlight.

Either a new IP/sequel or a remaster which isn’t too far fetched given we got Max Payne 3 & L.A. Noire Remastered before GTA V & RDR 2 , however a remaster is probably more likely if Rockstar chooses to give us something to hold us off until VI launches

I never played both of them, but when I searched for a Gun video yesterday, this one I posted here, I was quite surprised by how good it is for a PS2 Era game.

There's no way in hell Rockstar is announcing another new game before VI comes out, especially now that they've officially acknowledged the next GTA. Look at what happened with Max Payne 3. I'm sure Rockstar doesn't want another one of their own games to fight with VI for attention, otherwise there's a very high chance of that game facing another Max Gayne 3 treatment from GTA fanbase, which doesn't bode too well financially.

 

At best, you'd get a couple more remasters/remakes, presumably RDR1 and IV in 2022-'23 if VI is actually slated for 2024.
