Heard from reliable friends months ago that the deadline was a Holiday 2023 release (Oct - Dec), but can always slip into early 2024. Of course that's months old information, could have changed by now

The GTAO update being medium-sized. RDO development put on hold. Potential remasters shelved.   Rockstar is going all in to make sure GTA6 doesn't slip up into 2025/2026.

Eh... I just take that at face value. They're working an awful lot on getting GTA VI ready for reveal/release.

But I tend to take those kind of words at face value, rather that trying to read into them and getting overly curious or excited.

I didn’t expect anything in terms of major announcements so I’m not disappointed, I just hope they continue support for RDO

GTA VI will be announced in October 2022 with a release date for Fall 2023, which will get pushed back to sometime in 2024. The game will be available only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with a PC release a year later. GTA VI will take place in a new rendition of Vice City and there will be a single protagonist. The game will be massive and will encapsulate everything great about previous Rockstar Games: The freedom of GTA III, the atmosphere of GTA Vice City, the huge content of GTA SA, the realism, maturity and story of GTA IV and RDR2 and the chaotic fun of GTA V. The game will have a 98 metascore and will be regarded as one of the best GTA games and best Rockstar game, although it will still be debated whether it's better than GTA IV or RDR2 or not.
