The bit about RDO with IGN (also suggesting a priority shift and that R* are "working on an awful lot") and the lack of GTAO DLC news does make me wonder if R* could skip on a Summer update and potentially reveal VI over the Summer instead. Hmm.

imo this either means they are working on very large updates to GTAO/RDRO, overhauls to both or have all devs pushing VIs development forward

Definitely sounds like they're winding down and moving the bulk of what's left on GTAO and RDO onto VI.

 

Suppose RDO could get a second push, they could be sorting out a next-gen RDR2 update (possibly tie it into an RDR1 remake so they can include Mexico for online?) but given how dead RDO has been now support wise it seems... unlikely to me, I'm certainly not gonna get my hopes up for it anyway,

 

"Awful lot" makes me think multiple projects though, but I suspect those will be remasters of RDR1 and IV. Would love a new IP from a smaller scale project but all signs point to that not happening for now.

i think i remember seeing something a while ago about them taking artists from the rdr2 team at the start of 2021 to work on an "unannounced title"

I don't think that's likely. GTA online was a massive factor for TTWO's revenue. Possibly the updates could become smaller like 2020's summer update, but I don't believe that they'll do that considering an actual GTA VI release is 1 - 2 years away which would be quite a significant revenue loss over time

If anything like that ever happens it will be after GTA VI. Right now it's almost certain that overwhelming majority at Rockstar is working on that game.
