re: blurry "leaked" pics

 

For science a while back I actually took my phone and tested how easy/hard it is to take clear shots of a game on a screen, including trying to take quick pictures if I was say in an environment where I had to be sneaky.

 

It was... significantly harder to take sh*tty, blurry pics than it was to take a clean picture full of detail where I could make out everything clear and in detail.

 

Try it for your self with your phone, and keep that in mind for when you see blurry fakes.

Since we are waiting for new information, what could be the colors for the map and the hud? 

 

I think the map color could be Black and different grey shades and for the hud light blue or pink

I always liked the 360/ps3 old gen GTA V colored map, don't know why they changed the map for the newer generations.

I kinda missed the colors in IV and V. I think the maps look a lot better when they are colored. I hope they give it a proper coloring like in SA or VC. I am not saying the black and white maps are bad, it's just that the colorful maps have more soul imo.

Well they do usually publish the press release with the report right before the conference begins so  I think the actual slides is only during/afterwards tho.

Here's hoping that GTA VI is another one of these magical gaming moments (alá GTA3, Bully, GTA IV and RDR1) but I'm honest, RDR2 never reached the heights or made me feel anything like I felt playing RDR1 for me and while a great experience I feel like it wasn't a game??? It may sound weird but it felt like an interactive movie more than a game and well, I said it before and I'll never not say it, the atmosphere of RDR2 doesn't belong to the Red Dead franchise in my opinion.

 

GTA VI hopefully takes a lot of things that made the early Rockstar games so great, I almost hope they don't focus so much on the cinematics or presentation of the game and instead focus on what a game should be ... about the gameplay at first and then comes the rest.

 

What's your take on all of this?

 

I'm with you bro. I love RDR2 but most of the great things about it were previously done in RDR1. Yeah I know RDR2 is bigger and better, but RDR1 experience felt fresh and that is something rare nowadays.

I agree, I prefer the first one but I don't know if it's nostalgia or because it looks better.

Also, cellphones and cameras are banned from Rockstar workplace so most pictures are likely fake, don't believe them please, specially if they have cropdusters

Phones being banned or not isn't even the crux of it... first no respectable employee would do something like that because as far as I know they want to keep their job, not risk getting caught, and continue working in the industry. Secondly, they're still working from home, even less reason for images to be blurry. As Jason mentioned, I've also tried it myself, it takes A LOT more effort on any modern-ish phone to take a blurry picture like that than to post a much clearer image. This was me literally snapping my screen as I write this post in a quick motion as if I were "leaking".

Well we did have this tidbit referring to RDR2 before in a May conference  

 

 

In all seriousness though, we'll know earlier than the conference if there's news, as they usually post their updates at the regular news time on the Newswire if they wanna do a summary of what's coming in the future, stuff like GTAO updates, RDO status, etc etc. If not, I'm more interested in looking at their future numbers really.

 

Has anyone noticed they also added this to the schedule? Most likely for talks about the Zynga acquisition etc.
