You joke but I think some devs have done IRL ARG's like this before. I can think of one, I think Red Lynx had a chest buried somewhere in Finland for one of the Trials games. I legit wouldn't put it past R* to one day just come up with some crazy ARG, even if fully online like some devs have done - Inscryption comes to mind.

Btw after playing Tbogt and IV when I saw Vice Squad graffiti and heard of a guy who found diamonds speaking to news channel, he wants to go to Vice City which I found out in 2020/2021.

They may have been experimenting with RDRII map before trying it on GTA VI with all those maps.
