University of South Florida got it's name because it was the southernmost University in the state at that time.

So in other words it's a university in the general Southern region of Florida .

 

Wasn't saying you were wrong just saying there's clearly a grey area that doesn't make the idea of adding those two areas to fictional southern Florida some sort of crazy concept.

 

It's not like previous GTA maps are pinpoint perfect when it comes to including or excluding areas that the setting is based on

Since El Rubio is linked with the Germans from RDR universe it really will be interesting to see the family background, cross up between RDR's characters and GTA Characters will lead to a most realistic story in a videogame, R* surely did spent vast amount of time building RDR's lore 
Basically we might get a chance to see the modern rendition of RDR locations (prob 90s) and they are fictional too, if they do are connected than RDR was technically 18th Century GTA
