I think a 2024 release would be best imo. Capturing the aftermath of the current world situations would be similar to GTA IV, where that was based on the aftermath of events from years prior that created paranoia

The February 2022 GTA VI tease is the February 2011 GTA V leak of our time. Guess we can look to October for an announcement?

Still crazy to think that GTA 6 will be releasing 10 years after GTA V

From 2000 to 2010 we got 8 or 9 iterations if we don't count GTA IV expansions

Heard from reliable friends months ago that the deadline was a Holiday 2023 release (Oct - Dec), but can always slip into early 2024. Of course that's months old information, could have changed by now. You should go with the expectation that it will be delayed just in case.

 

The development shall ramp up this year, once Rockstar is done with E&E. The next title always kept being mentioned last year in terms of upcoming projects, so most of Rockstar likely shifted into working on GTA6.
