I feel like it'll just be an update, they don't want to anger console players. But who knows.

With Online being standalone now, I assume if/when GTA 6 comes out, it'll migrate to that new world, or a whole new Online version?

Also I hope they finally update the NPC vehicles, Los Santos traffic is stuck in 2013 and just looks strange at this point. 
Seeing the same 20 cars roam the streets in a game where there are over 400-500 different modes of transport is silly.

Too many modded/glitched accounts to migrate progress. safe to say we will all need to restart for gta 6 online

What is everyone's opinion on this? Which do you think would be the most profitable, Executive CEO with Special Warehouse CEO Crates and Import / Export or Gunrunning Bunker, doing Researches for upgrades then Manufacturing for $1,000,000+ every 10+ hours? The Gunrunning Bunker one would obviously need more money investment to unlock all Research unlocks but it's also been the most profitable passive income.

 

Or it might depend on what the Weekly Bonus was, whether 2x / 3x $ RP on Special Warehouse Crates or Bunker Sales.

It's good they are giving new players somthing to start with the but the choice is pretty bad with basically 4 of the same thing that pays trash and is really boring. Hopefully with how everything new can be done in private sessions the businesses will be private as well. Selling my bunker or nighclub once a week or so can be fun for a change but not worth it with public only. Giving new players a facility, arcade or autoshop would be nice so they had the choice between a business or a heist/mini heist would be better but I guess they are just giving out businesses because they require expensive upgreades before they really start paying anything and even with upgrades pay so bad they aren't even worth the time for the trash payout. 

 

Character transfer is great but the one time sucks. I wanted to move to PS5 but in over a year since it came out I haven't seen a single one in any shop but I do rarely see Xbox Series S. Now I have to decide if I want to wait months or even a year to get a PS5 or just stick with Xbox and get a Series S for now and upgrade to a Series X when I can find one. With how hard it is to find consoles it would be nice to have a transfer from old gen to new gen and another transfer between current gen consoles so I could play on Series S until I get a PS5. 

 

Story mode transfer is nice. I was planning on replaying the story when it came out but it will be nice to not have to worry about getting all achievements again.

I guess that explains the nice looking shadows of the E&E trailer. They are probably raytraced. 

 

Lighting looks rasterized still. Unless there's something else I didn't spot.

I really hope people are not expecting 4K/60fps/RT On at the same time. The best we will get on consoles is 4K/30fps, Dynamic Resolution/60fps and 1080p/30fps with RT On.

My interpretation of this announcement is an improved graphical version of the game on March 15, with better draw distances, frame rates, etc. That's good and will give everyone with next-gen consoles a lift. 

But what is really interesting is this:

 

"...and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway."

 

Final confirmation from Rockstar that they are working on the next game! Will it be an extension of GTA V or an entirely new game from the ground up?

I think the same. As they say: "up to" 4K/60fps, perhaps there would be various graphic modes as you say. Fidelity with a 4K (native or upscaled) / 30fps, then other with 2K or dinamic resolution/60fps, and other mode (or perhaps in the fidelity mode) for the RT.

 

I hope we will see something soon.
