Also this. Such a underwhelming message on a friday afternoon in February. Not even the first of the month of anything. I don't give a f*ck but for such a high profile title it seems weird.

I mean, we FINALLY got the confirmation that the game is in the works, but if anyone here following the drama for years knows something, it's that you have to be stupid to think they weren't working on it, GTA V is single handily the most profitable piece of media EVER, no way TTWO wouldn't want that money again.

 

Also, I'm not that optimistic about this at all because they didn't even officially gave us the name of the next game, or the setting, which means that this game is probably a good 4 to 5 years away.

Maybe there is no logo yet. I hope we get more info this year, but tbh I won't be too surprised if the proper "reveal" doesn't come until next year.

Well i really want to agree with you. But looking on how many companys and celebrities followed that route because of fear makes me considering that. But you know what? Its speculation. I just wait to see what they show. After so many disappointments in 2021 i am having a really hard time to get a hype to something. So much bu*ls*it right now, i expect everything.
And according to the Interview with Jamie King, Co-founder of Rockstar Games. GTA VI will may have a "different tone" caused by the left of Dan Houser. What ever that means. But if he consider that, why shouln't i considering that?

See you in march i don't know how much disappointments you need. But E&E + Trilogy + The neglectment of Trilogy patches really disappointed me very hard as a long time fan. I am feeling fooled. Still. And i didn't even started to talk about the behavior against the modders like me due to the Trilogy release.

It's not weird at all once you understand that GTA Online is the only thing they truly care about.

 

I do agree that this kind of announcement deserved it's own article, but if they were to do that then they would also have to give us something else besides a "yeah we are working on it, now shut up!"

oh yeah true but remember that it got delayed a year so its not impossible 6 gets released in 2 years and the trailer in 1 year as gta 5 was originally planned

Surreal to see them acknowledge the game, and can't wait to see a trailer sometime in the next year. If this one turns out great i wonder what the new reason for doom and gloom for the next rockstar game will be

Yeah, I think it's a little weird. Plus, they don't seem to be giving out any new information soon. It would have been nice to at least have a logo to have something new to speculate on.

why the sour mood? isn't communication a GOOD thing? this is what we've all been wanting. R* communicating ANYTHING is godly, let alone something about their as-of-yet unannounced (properly, anyway) next GTA.
