How do i join empty public session on ps4?

For me I always used this.

On your PS4 do the following:

Settings ---> Network ----> Set Up Internet Connection -----> (Select your connection, I use an Ethernet Cable myself) -----> Custom -----> (IP Address) Automatic----> (DHCP) Do Not Specify -----> DNS Settings MANUAL.

You'll now be asked for the PRIMARY DNS Enter: 8.8.8.8

Now you'll be asked for the SECONDARY DNS, Enter: 8.8.4.4

You'll now be asked for MTU Settings, Enter: 750 

Finally you're asked for the Proxy Server - Do Not Use.

 

When you load up GTA Online, it may take a bit longer than usual and first try may time out but that's normal. When you are put into a session, you SHOULD be alone, if not it will only be with a few randoms, just wait a few minutes and you should get a lobby split.

A few more suggestions for @NeoX_123 to try.

• You can try pulling the internet cord out of the PS4 and plugging it in. The disruption should be treated like a bad internet connection and it should put you into your own session. However you do have to learn timing, it won't work if it's too short and it'll boot you to single player if it's too long. It's also frustrating to have to physically remove the cord to do it.
• Check your router settings. My router has a setting where I can pause internet to a device. It's like the method above, except you're pressing a button instead of pulling out a cord.
• Look for a crew that offers safe public sessions. There are a few on Reddit. They have methods (voting to kick) to keep control of public sessions and only allow people in their crew into the session.
