ERR_GFX_STATE Crash Midgame

Hello, I've been playing RDR2 for a few days now and I can't go on a full day of gameplay without crashing. ı've noticed it mostly happens when I'm on cinematic "auto drive" but it has also happened during missions as well. Might be a coincidence ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

So far I've tried:
-Verifying game files using Steam,

-Deleting SGA files,

-Using -ignorepipelinecache launch argument,

-Updating graphics drivers,

-Switching to DX12 (renderer?) from Vulkan by changing a graphics settings in-game.

 

I haven't OC'ed my PC at all, it's a laptop.

My PC specs:

Intel Core i7-8750H (2.20GHz)
GeForce® GTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X
16 Gigs of stock (supplied with laptop) ram

I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me figure this out. It's been hella fun so far but these crashes are breaking the immersion.

EDIT:

I couldn't fix it. I don't know what was causing the issue but it still exists. Luckily, I'm back home and I can play just fine on my desktop setup. I don't know if this info will help anyone but here are my desktop PC specs:

Intel i7-7700K (not overclocked)
Nvidia RTX 2080
32 Gigs of ram (not sure about the mhz)
