Nihilanth1982 Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 i havent played RDO in 2-3 years since playing it on ps4. i enjoyed the roles and story missions though they were so few. moonshine was fun. apart from that there wasnt much else to do. what additions have been made in the past year or so? i am enjoying gta online at the moment and love the variety of things ou can do on there (on pc), just fearing RDO may not have as much variety and staying power as gta...? Aldous Bramley Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 well, there are two more roles - Bounty Hunter and Naturalist. Bounty Hunter is fun, and even better in a posse. Best role yet IMO. Naturalist is for those who love hunting (but you are not killing animals this time). I know many people hate this role but I am one of a few who enjoyed it. It's just a grindfest. Also, there are Blood Money mission. Simple missions around Saint Denis at night. I love them. Basically, comparing to GTO the game is sh*t (in terms of content). Lemoyne outlaw Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 unfortunately this game has gone downhill. i assume you have not heard of the #savereddeadonline thing going around? rockstar have not been communicating with us. and we have not gotten a good dlc for a long time. if you have not played in years there may be some new stuff you can check out. like the post above me there is the naturalist. which lets you sedate animals and take samples of them and sell them. you can also hunt unique legendary animals. and skin and sell them to gus the new trapper. and he can make you clothes out of them. like story mode. blood money was pretty lame. but the intro cutscene was cool. that's about the highlight of the dlc. i still play of course. i mostly do pvp or free roam stuff. its fun to have posse wars and free mode events. but it has been stale lately. If you are on pc and looking for some chill I recommend RedM. The only thing that's attracts me in lack of updates is playing with friends! Other than that @Aldous Bramley is spot on in his comment! Drimes Posted February 16 Share Posted February 16 You'll get a lot of depressive responses with good reasons. But looking at it from a new beginners perspective? There is a lot of things to do, and I mean a lot. It's unfortunate that we're so divided, the newer players get a lot of discounts and have things to do while other older players are starved in terms of content. Overall it is a good online component, but it suffers from its limitations once you've succeeded in every career. Foxwolfe Posted February 17 Share Posted February 17 Bugs that have been around for multiple years, even with low population (15 and less players) I still have issues with ambushes/hideouts/legendary animals/etc spawning so the game still feels more empty than it should at times even tho the overall animal spawns are a lot better then when they went to sh*t. cambo1682 Posted March 21 Share Posted March 21 (edited) Honestly, don’t bother. I loved this game but it is a buggy sh*te show of exploits and glitches. Rockstar most certainly must be aware but have no shame. So much for being a triple A game company. If you don’t want to do pvp it can be entertaining but between off radar glitches, Invincibility glitches, whatever the hell they did to player horses that has them dead or running everywhere it is a wreck. This is all on top of the cheesey card setups and broken mechanics. You’d think Rockstar would have pushed the game towards old fashioned gun fighting but basically carcano spam rules the old west according to their current gameplay. Other issues have been mentioned already. It’s beautiful explore but you can do that in story mode and avoid the trolls that are running unchecked.
