Random police transporter and sudden wanted level

Note - this is NOT the Packie random encounter thing for the heists.

 

I've had it happen twice now. I'll be minding my own business when all of a sudden a police transporter van pulls up, siren starts and I get a wanted level. At the time I'm not committing any crimes nor am I in a mission. I'm in solo invite only. One time, I was simply exiting a clothes shop when it pulled up outside. The police get out and shoot at me.

 

Van can't be taken or entered. And it happens in the north part of the map, around the Señora Desert.

 

Has anyone else had this happen to them? Thought it was a one off when it happened before but happened again just now and seems deliberate somehow. Only thing I can think of is I had just done the Bank Job (Tuners) and had spawned back in to my solo session once job was complete. A few minutes later, it pulls up as I'm exiting a store.

I've had the same thing happen to me. I'm pretty sure it IS the Packie event. It's just bugged (still/again).

Should it even be happening if I've already completed his event? Shouldn't be happening again I don't think. Kinda funny though. Feels like they recognise me as a notorious felon and so pull up and try and stop me lol.

Doesn't matter. The event is bugged/broken. I've completed it too and it still spawns randomly without any other players in the lobby and without any info/call/sms or marker for it.

If you're in a solo session, then it shouldn't be happening and it's bugged. If you're in a session with other people then perhaps it's triggering because one of them haven't done it.
