When will they finally separate GTA:O from SP?

There are two activities missing. Weed and wine.

(The only mod I used was 'Simple Trainer' with default settings. No MP map, no nothing. I simply just teleported to Franklin's house.)

1.) Are these two activities missing because I'm still at the beginning of the game? Will they spawn later on? I really doubt it but if you do know better, please tell me.

2.) Why's the layout different? Is it because of this stupid contract update? Wtf? Shouldn't it be in MP Maps only? I did NOT have MP Maps enabled in these pictures. It's the default SP Map.

When will Rockstar finally separate Singleplayer from poopy GTA Online? I don't give two sh*ts about GTA:O. I just want Rockstar to leave the Singleplayer alone. Leave. It. Alone.

Can anyone confirm that Franklin's second home looks like this even without 'Simple Trainer' and at the end of the game when Franklin is actually supposed to be there?

I'd love to know because if it's like this by default, I will disable internet connection on my Xbox Series S console. Not sure if it's gonna let me play completely offline, which is another f*cking bummer, I guess. I have the digital edition of the game unfortunately. When I get my hands on a Series X I'm buying the disc version and PLAY THIS GAME UNPATCHED!

I really hope it's just me though, I hope I just messed up some 'Simple Trainer' settings.

They will release GTAO separately from GTA V story mode, but there's no guarantee that the story mode will be separated from the negative influence of GTAO.

Yeah, they'll let people download GTAO alone but they probably won't allow people like us to download the single player game alone, they want to be able to constantly update the game and advertise their latest bullsh*t updates and shark card deals.

Buy? Yes.  Download without downloading all of the online content too?  No.

Wtf. That makes sense from a marketing standpoint. sh*t.

Probably never. I suspect GTA VI won't even have a story mode. It'll be all online. Or if it does have story mode, it'll be trash. Rockstar has already seen the massive success of GTAO versus how many shark cards they get from story mode gameplay. I wouldn't blame them. Played GTAO myself maybe a total of six hours. Played story mode since enhanced day one. Switched to PC and still play story mode only to this day. You have any idea how many players even care about story mode versus those crazed of online?

Just a side note, this mod fixes a lot of map issues and is quite up to date: https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/map-fixes

Also, I've been using v1245 since it came out. I recall all side activities working (even before I installed Map Fixes). Not sure what you might be stumbling across. If it works after uninstalling ST, it's something to do with ST. I use both Menyoo and Rampage without any conflicts even outside of story mode activities. Might give those a shot.

As far as running offline, the only true way to do it is downloading an offline DRM bypass (cracked game executable). As long as it matches the version you're using, it'll work. Otherwise, even using "-scOfflineOnly" on the command line you still have to pass through Rockstar's panty sniffer. RDR2 is the same way, as are all other Rockstar titles on PC. In terms of spending even more money, you can buy a copy of the game on a physical disc, install it without internet, then turn internet on, update the game, and you're free to run it whenever you want. Same licensing as playing on PlayStation and Xbox. So sad that this is the case. I was actually forced to download a DRM bypass for RDR2 when Rockstar shut down the launcher services, affecting every game that uses them including RDR2 which has nothing to do with the Trilogy yet I wasn't able to play regardless of having bought the game.

But yeah, if you actually bought the game (myself, twice, Xbox One and PC) digitally, feel free to run a DRM bypass. Forcing always-online is every company's favorite DRM path because it's of the least resistance. No actual thought goes into protecting the assets themselves. Just jump to "well, you're not online so you can't play" easy peasy as lemon pie squeezy.

Yeah, idk about modless, but they both work on current version with Map Fixes mod:

Plain and simple answer. They're doing it now for the PS5 version.

unless they won't be online files in SP game and vice versa, it can't be called separated

If standalone RDO is anything to go by, SP and Online won't "truly" be separated. RDO still downloads most (if not all?) SP files, since it gives you an option to purchase the story mode as DLC.

If would be nice if they do legitimately separate the two, though. It's not like the story mode uses any of the 2016+ GTAO content, anyway; might as well cut down on the storage space for those who have no interest in Online.

Post E&E Release EDIT: As expected, both SP and GTAO are still installed together, with no way to remove one if you're only interested in the other. That's what, ~30GB acting as a glorified digital paperweight if you only care about story mode (considering the 8th Gen version launched at ~65GB)? Extremely disappointing, but not at all surprising. :/

A bit off topic, but most OL games nowadays are like this. As for Call of Duty, any game you download since Modern Warfare 2019 installs Warzone without the option to remove it. Just so you know, Warzone takes up at least 200gb of drive space.

It pisses me off so much that in GTA V for PS4, there is no way to remove the online promotions from the loading screen. From GTAIII up to the PS3 version of GTAV without updates, the loading screens would show artwork of various scenes and characters while the music plays. It’s awesome. But in the PS4 version of V, you can’t see any of the art because it’s covered up by advertisements for GTA Online, which I have zero interest in ever playing. There’s no way to get rid of it to my knowledge

Maybe something in the UI files? I’m mostly missing and playing RDR2 these days but I could try taking a look.

The truly definitive edition of GTA V is the PS3 version disconnected from the internet. GTA V for PS4 was a Grove Street Games tier port.

I disagree personally. I truly feel the ps4 version is the definitive one. Honestly They should have just built it as a PS4 game from the start

1 of my irrational hatreds too.

I hate the absolute guff they use to advertise all the worthless/useless/overpriced sh*t like it's the best thing since sliced bread.

They could just advertise 'boring arse samey feeling mode/vehicle now available' but nope they have to go that extra mile for GTAO and sound like they're drooling over the things.

They're like fake YT'er shill reactions in written form.

Left is PS4, right is PS3.

The port went off into a wildly different art direction than was originally intended. Giant lens flares, chromatic aberration, unrealistic light pollution, PS2 looking tree models, janky as f*ck first person mode, missing music. They refused to update the resolution for Pro/X consoles and let the framerate dwindle into the single digits on base consoles. You can't even relive the proper 2013 singleplayer experience because DaBaby is on the f*cking radio now.

GTA V's PS4/Xbox One version was a tremendous technical improvement over the original versions without a shadow of doubt. It's ridiculous to think otherwise.

To think that about a month ago people were yelling "E&E" had literally no difference, now PS3 is better than PS4, I feel like I'm in 2014 again :sadkek:

Aside from the resolution increase, the technical improvements here are marginal at best - the rest are just changes in art direction. If you consider additional grass impressive, then Grove Street Games must have blown your mind with the senseless amounts they cluttered the trilogy with. If the jump from 720p to 1080p was astonishing to you, then E&E must have sent you into a frenzy. Both the DE Trilogy and GTA V PS4 took a sh*t on the original art direction is what I'm saying. That's why they're bad ports. UE4 is a tremendous technical improvement over Renderware but it means dick all if the devs lack artistic integrity. I'm not going to applaud Rockstar for changing a value in notepad to get mirrors and shadows less pixelated. I very much consider their ports on par with the work Grove Street Games does for better or worse.

The PS3 version on the other hand is definitive by definition seeing as it was the only release where every member of the original team was still on board. There's no goofy lore contradictions on the radio, no alien railguns at Ammunation, weird technical issues caused by GTA Online updates, none of that sh*t. Just the game the way it was intended to be played back when singleplayer was Rockstar's only focus.

There is a way though, playing the game with the console offline.

Other than the bad looking tree models, I don't really mind the other stuff.

That looks to me like a lot of different factors. First of all it looks like the TV settings are different in the two pictures, and it looks like each is at a different time of day in-game
