Playstation.

Last year I considered the move to Xbox since the Series X was easier to find than the PS5 but eventually scored a PS5.

In my youth it was Atari then PC followed by Nintendo. From 1997-2019 it was almost exclusively PlayStation. I did have an N64 for Goldeneye and Zelda games. Bought a Dreamcast just to play Resident Evil Code Veronica.

2019 I went to PC. Wife got me a PS5 but I only use it to occasionally play GTAO with my crew. Generic graphics and terrible FPS rates keep me from playing for long though.

As of current its pretty much PC followed by Nintendo console occasionally with both Xbox and Playstation being used rarely for the odd game here and there. Otherwise most of my gaming time is between the PC and Switch/older handhelds like the DS and Gameboy Color.

PC is my primary platform these days, played on PC now for... 15-16 years? Nowdays I have the highest spec PC I've had (relative to hardware at the time), and it's my primary platform for everything if given the option, where as in the past I did still play single player stuff on console despite owning a decent PC.

But I have played console since I was very young, and still do. At the moment I have a Xbox Series S which is essentially a box to play to multiplayer games with friends (who all have Xbox's) that I can't play on my PC through cross platform.

When I was a kid I had a potato PC because my parents never would pay so much for a powerful one. So I played old games on PC. Consoles were cheaper so eventually I convinced them to buy a PS2. Then an Xbox 360.

I bought a PS4 last gen as well but as soon as I get financially stable I would definitely buy a powerful PC next to my new console. If Sony decide to release their exclusives on PC day one as well, there may be no reason to buy a console anymore besides saving money.

Above was the last console I played on and I played the donkey kong  games on it and jungle strike, urban strike and of course the sonic the hedgehog game

Now I've been gaming on PC's since 2003 and the Sims was my first pc game and SimCity 4 rush hour

On topic... It's I think everyone in these forums know I mainly play on Xbox. I have a decent enough laptop with a RTX 3070 but I keep that for editing/work stuff. When I have a more permanent place I might dip my toe into PC gaming but for the moment, I prefer gaming is in my bedroom where I relax and switch off.

These were some of the most played games we had on our Genesis or Mega Drive as we call it over in the Europe.

PC and old consoles (N64, PS1, SNES, etc.) because of the nostalgia factor.

PlayStation or more specifically PS5.

I used to play on PC in the mid 90s, but when I got a PS1 I never went back which might be strange to some peole since it’s usually the opposite. The convenience of a console has always appealed to me rather than tech.

When it comes to consoles I’ve always owned every Xbox iteration (except the Series X/S) and just broke into Nintendo with my recent Switch purchase, but I’ve been predominately a PlayStation gamer for about 25 years.

I was going to get a Series X, but couldn’t stand its mini fridge styling, lack of a distinguishable dashboard compared to the XB1, lack of exclusives etc and the Series S was out of the question as I didn’t want an all digital console.

Exsanguination

Started with a SNES in the early 90’s. My dad bought a PS1 when it first released and then a PS2. Made the switch to Xbox 360 and have had Xbox consoles since. Was considering a PS5 but I have a lot of 360/XB1 games I still play so it made sense to just stick with the Xbox series X for backward compatibility.

limited PC gaming experience only played Oregon trail , some of the older sim city games etc.

PlayStation.

Over the years I've had Nintendo 64 (sold) > PlayStation (sold) > PlayStation 2 (packed away) > XBOX 360 (sold) > OG XBOX (sold) > PlayStation 3 (unused) > PlayStation 4 (currently playing)

I kept the old PS3 hooked up as I intended to use it as a DVD/Blue-Ray player, but I've yet to use it since I hooked it up so it ended up kinda just sitting there unused.

I'm currently still rocking the PS4 and enjoying it just fine.

I thought about if I wanted a Series X/S next since Microsoft owns Bethesda now, so who knows if the next Fallout game will be exclusive to XBOX.     But I didn't really care for the 360 that much.     I did use it when I had it, it had the better port of GTA4 so I played that on it, I played the Raging Blast DB games on, I loved Forza Motorsport and another game PGR4, I think Grid was on the 360 to.     Like I liked the games I had on it.    I just didn't really care for the console itself with it's menu layout and stuff.     The controller is eh, alright I guess.     A lot of people prefer the XBOX controller, but it just seemed big fat and chucky to me, plus always having to keep a pack of AA on hand was meh.     I just preferred the PlayStation myself.

Plus my friend is on PS and already has a PS5 (got one not long ago), this is one my good pals that I actually know in real life, so I want to stay on the same system as him so we can play together.

So with my pals on PS and me really just not liking XBOX that much.      While it's going to suck if Fallout 5 ends up being XBOX only going forward, it's really not enough to get me to leave PS.

I was a staunch PC gamer forever...stubborn towards consoles.

When NES came out, I got one but I was still just a PC gamer and my girlfriend (now wife) made it hers.  Same thing happened with Sega Genesis.

I didn't get an Xbox 360 until late in the game...even then I was a PC gamer.

Things have changed.  I'm now pretty much exclusively a Xbox gamer.  With the Series X being pretty close to PC level fidelity...the dogs and my wife appreciate my accessibility.  When PC gaming you are usually sitting in another room tied to a chair.  With couch gaming on an Xbox I can pause and tend to my dogs or wife without hassle.
