Kraken worth it in Kosatka?

Do you think I should get both or just the Sparrow?

It's useless. You can park a Toreador/Stromberg in the sub. Unless you are swimming in cash and have nothing to spend it on, but then you wouldn't be asking I guess. I've used that thing once since it released, just to check it out.

No, save your money. Add-ons you should get in order:

 

Sparrow

A Torredor

Cruise Missile station

 

Sonar is useless, no one plays Hunt for Red October in these things and the Kraken is less then useless.

Just stick with the Sparrow, the submersible is useless and anything it can do, the Toreador or Stromberg can do better and more.

Nah, it's useless, I bought mine when the update came out, I think I've driven it like twice

I gotten agree with everybody else, Krackon is useless.     You are better off buying a scuba suit for the rare times you need to go underwater.    And the Toreador is all around much better as it's faster underwater with constantly recharging boost, doubles as a pretty fast land vehicle again with boost, has both missiles and torpedo's, I think has a machine gun, and has some decent armour.    Like this is one of the few cars that actually stood a pretty decent shot at destroying a MKII in a fight before Imani tech ever became a thing.

 

So there is literally no reason to own a submersible when a Toreador is better in literally every way.

If you are new to the Kosatka and gonna get into Cayo Perico heist, You don't need the Kraken but I strongly advise on getting everything else. I know many don't do the disruption missions but I like doing them and the cruise missile station is super valuable to not worry about any buzzards during the heist because you can finish the whole air support mission without leaving the sub. Same for weapons disruption if you're good enough.

The Avisa is generally useless when you take into account the Toreador (or even the Stromberg) - but if you're at a shore and miles from any road vehicle spawn locations and you want to get underwater, then you can call it in close to you like the Sparrow.

I do have one myself and I do occasionally take it out for a wee spin - just so people will do a double-take at the logo on the map if nothing else.  If you're collecting the underwater daily crates each day (which nets you 75k in total), and lack scuba gear (Note : You can change into a free scuba suit in the Kosatka just outside the moon pool) or a Toreador, then that would be the only real use for the Avisa.}

Note that the Kraken is the yellow Pegasus vehicle.  Don't spend a penny on one.  There's free ones that spawn up on the eastern coast between the power station and the lighthouse if you really want to use one.

I bought it because of course I did. It was on sale at the time so I saved a little. I think it was a million flat on sale. I used it once and it felt like I was drunk and stoned the way it handled. I should try it again, but I doubt it would be any different even with some acclimation time.

 

But useless, no, because it fills an otherwise yawning cavern in the moonpool. It looks freakin' sweet sitting there unused. So expensive and high tech, it really plays the part of stage prop well.

 

But yeah, save your money unless you, like me, like to look at stuff and pretend it was money well spent.

 

The Sparrow's essential, and I also bought the weapons workshop since I didn't already have this. I ignored the missiles and the sonar.

Regardless of all the other reasons, this is a big one. Both the submersibles are so sloppy and kind of annoying to pilot.

I agree with this. Anything to make the Kosatka seem a little less lonely

Wrong coast and there is only one spot where the Kraken will spawn.

That would be the case in story mode where it appears on the west coast, but if you go just north from the Humane Labs towards the lighthouse you'll see one spawn before you reach the farms between the Humane Labs & lighthouse.  In fact here's the exact location



As you said, only one spawns in - but as soon as it's driven off, another will respawn in on the spot of the original.

No dude, the spot in story mode is the same in online, kraken spawns there. Never once seen a spawn where you are pointing.

Why not go have a look - it's spawned there every time for me since I've played GTA Online - in fact you can see me standing on top of the thing behind the map.

The day I bought the kosatka I bought the avisa, the missiles, the sparrow everything. Had gold railings been an option I’d have bought them too

 

the missiles are vaguely entertaining for doing flypasts (tho it’s even more entertaining when somebody else is firing them at or near you). The avisa (what I presume you mean by the kraken) I have taken out twice,  and the sparrow. I use pretty much daily.  
 

I wish the genuine kraken had been an option to store in the avisas place. At least the kraken looks like a real submersible
