AutisticTorch Posted January 18 Share Posted January 18 It seems that Zynga is looking into NFTs and other crypto stuff, and since Take Two have bought them, do you think that Take Two are going to do something about NFTs, weather or not it's discouraging Zynga, or in the worst case scenario, even incorporate them into Rockstar's franchises? i hope to god that NFTs stay the f*ck away from Take Two and R* but tbh Take Two and Rockstar are getting worse and worse and since they made fun of Facebook in Friend Request yet are collaborating with them, I wouldn't be surprised if their hypocritical business practices continue with making fun of NFTs in the Contract and then deciding to use them. As for the NFT's, Zynga seems to already have a division, and honestly I think more than the mainline console/PC games, mobile is a much better market for this kind of stuff, so I could see T2 experimenting but not in their mainline games. At best the 2K games, as sports games are rife with monetisation. I actually think there could be a good side to the Zynga purchase, and that is, them focusing most monetisation efforts on that because just mobile game monetisation from a company as large as Zynga probably would get them even more $$$ than GTAO. Obviously their mainline games will still have monetisation, but I can see a situation where they won't go super duper hard on it there vs. the mobile stuff. Time will tell.
