This looks great. Never played the original MMORPG Black Desert Online but this looks like it might be a solo and online experience. Maybe a more blended online and solo experience? I don't know. Originally this game was supposed to release in July 2021. As of yet, there is no release date. 

 

It's a multiplatform game. Map looks amazing and it seems there is proper seasons, if not it's just different biomes, but it looks like seasons.

Black Desert Online, as a game, was okay, the combat was pretty great as an MMO but it tried to be a PvP MMO and a PvE MMO in the setting of a sandbox MMO and it didn't really work a lot of the time. But let me tell you, do not get hyped for this for one reason only, BDO is a mess of p2w, loot boxes, horrible and predatory RNG etc. It's a Korean MMO, so it has all the nasty stuff that comes with those. Keep expectations low on this one, we'll either end up pleasantly surprised and get a great game or... we won't.

 

Does seem like they're trying something different with this in terms of structure though, it was originally called an MMO but they very quickly dialed that back, it sounds more like a single player game with co-op content? Maybe it's their attempt at something in the mould of Destiny? Hmmmhmmm.
