Switching Aiming in GTA Re: Liberty City Stories

So i have a problem with mission "Stop the press" i need to scary a one guy and i can Beat him or target him with a Weapon but in PC edition of GTA:Re from the start a Free-aim is setted up and i don't know how to change to PSP Aiming (Auto-lock target), i tried beating him up but always it ended with killing him. Anyone got any ideas?
