GTA V PS5 Public Lobby

Been away from the game for a couple of years, only to start hearing R* has taken out the options for crew members only/invite only online lobbies?? Tell me this is not the case.... before wasting my time downloading the game to my ps5.

That was only for Red Dead Redemption II online.

 

No change to GTA V as far as I know?

Those lobbies are still available but you can NOT do most of the business aspects in private lobbies, although if you want to run your businesses alone or with your friends only there is a trick for “solo public” lobbies.  I’m sure someone here plays on “ps5” that can give the details on how to do so.

Well the game downloaded automatically ( still new to ps5) and it starts out in story mode, I go to options, click online and I don't see the online options for private/crew members only etc.

Yea, I wish they would have just simply taken the options from RDR and applied them to RDR2......I only rolled rdr2 online for about a week and was done. Story mode was good.

No, it's there! Maybe you need to finish 'prologue' with Lamar if you have a new character (dont remember that about online options, but you do need to finish things with Lamar)

You load in story mode and then you go to menu-online and select what kind of session you want - public, invite, friends, crew, solo...

I hear ya bro, the thing is my saved data from rollin on the PS4 carried over, so when it starts me in Story Mode, I've already completed the final heist (story mode heist) and there's still none of the private online options......starting to wonder if it's a PS5 carryover 'thing'....idk

I've rolled GTA V since release on PS3.....I don't see how I need to do the beginning of the story mode again...when I've already completed it a long time ago. 

 

Are u guys rolling on the PS5? Trying to narrow this down since it doesn't make any sense why I can't simply click online and have the options as before
