[/edit] So i have read alot of stuff on this board about helis (mostly because theyre so god damn hard to fly on PC--devs, hello?), but i just finished the "rub out" mission where you take over Diaz's mansion and figured i would take the heli out for a spin. But its doesnt have any guns, or i cant fire the damn things, so whats the deal? RMB and num 0 do NOT fire anything. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But you can't get it until you finish the last mission or something. *shrug* Also, they're only hard to fly for people who are PC newbs. Well if thats the case then, you can get the sea sparrow, that has miniguns, you have to get 80 hidden packages to get it, and it will appear at the vercetti mansion. If you knew how to work a keyboard and/or mouse at the same time it would be easy to fly. umm, unless you changed the controls, the default settings for standard controls use the keyboard *only* for flying helicoptors. that would be WASD, QE and the NUMPAD 9&6 keys. what does that have to do with the mouse? maybe you should make sure you know what you're talking about before you get condesecending on someone. I have the PC version which is accompanied by a tremendously worthless manual. I use a keyboard and mouse while on the ground or water. I use a joystick for flying and it works quite well except for the following. I have access to the Hunter by virtue of completing the main story (I have not found the 100 packages and don't intend to). I can fire the cannon on the Hunter, but I cannot fire the minigun. I've seen various posts claiming to be able to fire both the minigun and the cannon, but I'm beginning to suspect they might be fabrications. If you look at the pc control setup, there is only one "fire" line. There is no "second" or "alternate fire". So how do you set up the controls so that you can fire both the "cannon" and the "minigun" while flying the Hunter? Cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I assigned the brake to a joystick button and now I have access to the minigun also. But I would not have FXXX'in guessed that in a million years. First of all it makes absolutely no sense. It's like Rockstar is saying, "uhhhh sir, contrary to any form of basic logic and ignoring the fact that we gave you a sh*t PC manual, your alternate fire button for only the helicoptors is the "brake" button! Whooweee, give me some of that Rockstar logic weed to smoke. I guess that's where the weakness of a console to pc conversion comes in. Thanks again.
