kabbage
Anyway to get them without completing the game? Even if it's cheating... I don't care... I'm bored and think it would be damn cool to run around with them BEFORE I finish everything.
Icarus
No sorry, the only way to get the bodyguards is by completing the game 100%! You have a bit to do, so get crackin'!
-Gnobe-
There are actually, 2 ways, in one of the vercetti missions, you have these 2 people following you around, and another is a cuban mission. Or use gameshark to get 100%
kabbage
Those aren't bodyguards, they're goons and they don't really perform the same function. Besides that, I've gotten 100% it's not a matter of having bodyguards it's a matter of having bodyguard when I'm doing missions. I'd just like to have them while doing missions and assets because I think it would be fun, something the other goons following you around (i.e. Bar Brawl) doesn't help with either. Can you get it to 100% using Gameshark so they show up while still allowing you to play the missions, assets, etc. as normal? [EDIT] By the way I'm using the PC version so if there's something I can edit please let me know. Speaking of editing... anyone point me to a good mods site for Vice City? Watashi
I presume they have no special skills, they're just some armed blokes that are attached to you, like girls get attached to you by fannymagnet code. Any (?) attached characters protect you if someone attacks you, but they aren't really doing a good job.
kabbage
No they're a bit better. Not only are they attached to you but they actually shoot at what you shoot at. I had enough trouble getting my goons to protect me little lone attack someone.
Speedemon
I would really like to get 100%, but I heard that it really isn't worth it. I heard the guards are worthless, and they only shoot at whatever you have you gun locked onto. Anyone else think this?
AxER
On missions where you get goons in both GTA3 and VC I usually end up shooting them and doing the mission by myself, I don't know if its just my Playstation being quirky or what but for some odd reason they often end up fighting amongst themselves. On the one in GTA3 were you have to kill some guy in the Japanese factory place (where I just threw a grenade over the wall and got him) me and my goons were standing outside the factory walls trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation when the goon on the left start pumping round after round into the goon on the right. I shot him and then the other one was getting in the way while I was trying to hiff a grenade so I shot him too. The main reason I want body guards is so they can ride the heli and the limo with me and I'll look all important.
Pancho the great
I got that as well, the goons are stupid as f*ck and just end up gettin in your way. It would be good if they had the sense to hid instead of running acrioss the street when they see any enemy gang member.
