San Andreas DE Exploit Observations

Note: I posted this in another topic but it really deserves it's own so I'll be updating it here from now on.

 

I've been playing the definitive edition version of San Andreas and I've been having a blast collecting cars but there are some subtle changes that I'd like to report on.

 

 

Definitive Edition Observations.

 

1. The Sawnoff Shotgun and Minigun no longer push vehicles. Consequently, you can no longer get any vehicles that require weapons that push 

 

2. The Mulholland Garage still allows the storing of vehicles and the Seasparrow on the roof.

 

3. Garages have junk in them that take up space. This makes it harder to store 4 vehicles in those garages so you need to be more selective. Because of this, You can no longer store a Packer in the Doherty garage.

 

4. Drive-by's No Wanted Level Exploit still works.


5. Los Sepulcros' Ignored By Police exploit still works.

 

6. Homies can open the same vehicle doors they could open on the PC and Console versions. My homie was able to open up the locked Tahoma from House Party but was unable to open the Lowriders from High Stakes Lowrider until after the race was over.

 

7. Just Business' No Wanted Level Exploit still works. I previously reported that it did not but I was wrong. It seems to have been tweaked a little because no matter which Russians you leave for Smoke to kill once you get as far as the Police Station or the Sprunk Machine, they all stop fighting. 

 

You can however kill them remotely with satchel charges and if you're standing in front of the Sprunk Machine, you'll still be able to escape the bike and grab the AP Packer, AP Sultan, and the DP/EP/FP BF-400.

 

I tried using the Satchel Charges to kill the Russians and and grab the Tool Tip in front of the Police Station but the timing just doesn't work right and the game forces you out of the tool tip and immediately onto the bike. However, even though I was forced onto the bike, I was able to successfully avoid getting on the bike by failing the mission, reloading the checkpoint save, and running away from the vehicle. Since this was the first time I'd tried grabbing the Nebulas, I screwed it up a whole bunch but I was able to fail, reload the checkpoint, and consistently avoid getting on the bike until I succeeded.

 

8. Non 0MO EC/EM and AP Conversion tricks still work. I just successfully got the mod menu open by using the Green Sabre trick. I was only able to test the EC/EM conversion trick but I'm confident that the AP Conversion tricks work as well.

 

9. The San Fierro Impound Garage is totally bugged. There is an invisible ramp just inside the door that prevents you from entering it. Going on on foot will result in CJ getting stuck in the air. The garage door will not even open for police vehicles and it won't even open from the inside f you go in through the pedestrian doorway on an HPV-1000.

 

I discovered this when unsuccessfully experimenting with using the Broadway to impound cars in San Fierro.

 

I'm just after the mission Badlands so maybe it'll go away when I actually unlock San Fierro but I doubt it because Las Venturas does not have this problem and like Los Santos, seems to be functioning normally.

The Los Santos Impound seemingly works exactly the same. I have very limited data but I was able to store the Packer from Just Business into it using the pimping trick. When I went to check it out the police behaved in the exact same manor. Also, the Broadway I'd used to impound it was not there because I blew it up but the two Greenwoods I'd driven to mission markers were.

 

The Los Santos Impound Zone still opens like normal. I did not try to close it though but next time I check on my packer, I'll try to close it.

 

I most likely won't be testing the other two impounds.

OM0 Tricks are On Mission 0 tricks and they allow you to convert vehicles to exclusive colors or mods or make them All Proof without failing a mission.

 

And unfortunately, they are PC only and probably not the DE PC version.

 

 

Also, I'm updating the original post with new info. You can get Smoke's BF-400 and the UC Nebula's using the police icon method.

Just a couple to add, the exploit during Reuniting The Families still works. Instead of going straight into the motel, you can just leave the area. Not only are you blocked from ever receiving a wanted level during this time, but no traffic will spawn at all. This makes it ideal to gain more vehicle driving skills or complete stunt jumps that require a bit of a run up. I use this time to collect all the oysters and snapshots as well. The weapons waiting for you when you unlock San Fierro are a welcome gift, and the oysters mean you can acquire every girlfriend without issue should you want the perks of keeping your weapons after dying or being arrested.

 

In addition, the recently discovered method to complete Outrider is intact. This involves placing a satchel in just the right place behind the van you're tasked to protect. Throw the satchel before you enter the red marker and set it off just before you drive into it. The van will catch fire forcing the driver to flee, but if you time it right the van won't explode because entering the red marker negates this. What you're left with (if all goes well) is a van with an open door. Simply get onto the bike to trigger the start of the mission and then immediately enter the van and drive it to the marker yourself. You'll save a massive amount of time on what can be a rather boring mission that wastes ammunition. The van will be heavily smoking thanks to your well placed satchel, but it is relatively easy to drive the short distance without any further damage incurred.

I have read reports from expert players that Om0 exploits are possible in the DE Trilogy. It's my understanding that the methods have changed, but I don't know the details. However,  @rhans  and @Bnd know their stuff; I always trust their observations and am confident acting on their reports.

Would you mind pointing me to these reports? I've just been parroting what I've read here and I would love to be wrong on this.

And they tricks the game in order to progress faster like repeating "OM0" "6" times and doing the FIRST mission ONLY at Quarry will trigger completion because you need 7 Quarry missions and you've already repeated 6+1 instances 😉

 

By the way it seems you have finally put this goddamn AP Packer into the goddamn Impound Garage 😃 If there is a vehicle in impound garage, you have to be really careful from now on so..

 

- Do not enter the mission marker with vehicle.. (Do not trigger clear zone) I'm suggesting you to destroy your vehicle (which used for reach the mission marker) before entering the red marker.. You can also try to walk instead of driving for example reaching OG Loc missions from Veronica Beach safehouse.. 

- Be careful with completing "Vehicle Side Missions" like "Vigilante"..

- "Trucking" area belongs to Los Santos and there is a clear zone with it so you have to be careful with starting a trucking mission.. You can easily sink your vehicle and game will flag it as destroyed so you won't have a wanted level..

- Finally always save your game to ANOTHER SLOT and try to finish "Green Sabre" quickly 😉

I'm pretty sure I succeeded many times and just didn't know it.😅 I'm very much in the habit of running everywhere or destroying/drowning every vehicle I drive. I also save in a separate slot and check the impound before moving on to the next mission.

Strangely enough, these strategies don't always work. I didn't believe the early post of strange vehicles in the impounds, but consistent reports of boats in SFPD and aircraft in LVPD couldn't be ignored. Eventually I asked Nick007J and Silent to take a closer look, and they found a problem that was promptly fixed and added to the SilentPatch.

 

The game keeps track of the previous two vehicles that CJ has driven. If either of these two vehicles is caught up in a clear area command they will be impounded to the nearest impound garage. But the game doesn't bother to check if the car slot 2 vehicle CJ was driving is the same vehicle that currently occupies car slot 2, so mistakes happen. If CJ has never driven a vehicle, or has only driven 1 vehicle, then the vehicle in car slot 0 gets impounded. This issue is particularly problematic for the school mission because they have a very large clear area radius. I would expect all active vehicles to be within range.

Are you playing SA DE on PC? If so, I might be able to put your impound scripts to sleep for a while so you can take a closer look at the impound lot; so, just the basic building object without the cops, police cars, moving gate and garage door, etc. that is managed by the impound script when CJ is near. If you can and are interested then upload your save to GTASnP.com and send me the link.

Hey, thanks so much for all this useful info! I tried doing the AP conversion trick from Home Coming and have managed to get the mod menu open once I enter a vehicle before going to end the date with Denise, but can't seem to drive or reverse it in order to get to the marker for the coffee part.

 

UPDATE: I've successfully converted a vehicle to AP, although there are a couple of things to keep in mind for the DE version. It seems that there's no way to drive your vehicle at all after entering the mod shop, and also you cannot enter another vehicle upon dropping Denise back home and exiting the mod shop. Therefore, the only way (to my knowledge) to do this on the DE version is to park or push your intended conversion vehicle to the end date marker beforehand, leaving that car there and dating Denise on foot, and then all you need to do is go and sit in the car you left at Denise's house (ensuring that she's following you), exit the mod shop when asked for coffee, and then drown that same vehicle before accepting coffee. Such a hassle compared to the original, but it works at least.

So, I found an exploit for the Drive School Burn and Loop for Xbox One X. I super lightly held down Right Trigger which put my car in "Neutral" which made my car go in reverse (yea I don't know either) but since I was in "neutral" the timer was not triggered allowing me to reverse to the other side of the loop giving me a giant head start on the timer. And yes, I do have footage to cover my claim

This exploit worked in the OG and apparently works in this one. 
 

Lost the last Chiliad race and instead of crossing the finish line I sniped the other racers who had finished and passed the finish line and won.

The AP's Packer can be saved in a manner of speaking if the driver's seat is on the right edge in front of the garage, pushed to the limit, and moved away from the garage while keeping the Packer out of sight. However, I could tell from the side that it was unstable, so I moved it to another garage as soon as I got to the stage where I could buy a garage in San Fierro. One other area that is unfinished rather than a bug is the seabed. From the point where you can walk on the seafloor, as soon as you go a bit further, you lose your foothold and in some places you spawn on land that is still unopened and are really being chased by the police.
I have found that OM0 is probably not possible to conclude at this stage. I was able to get to the point of flying in the stadium.

I just got the Policy Maverick into the LS Impound by pushing it in with a SWAT Van. I walked to the back and saw it disappear. I walked forward and it reappeared.

 

I went to my safe house, saved, closed game. I went back with a tow truck. I cannot tow the policy helicopter.

 

I swear on PS2 you could once you impound it? I am on PS5 DE, did anyone have any luck?

The LS Impound is high enough to take off.. You can fly until you reach the gate and push it by a police car. Normally in OG version all choppers can be towed..if you can not tow it.. than they don't have a towing feature.. you can test it by towing San Fierro Airport Maverick 🙂

I am not really up to SF yet. I might try it I'm the DoDo.

 

I think I got in the police maverick but couldn't get the rotors going, I guess il try push it first

I managed to tow it! You have to toggle the tow thing and sort of hook it as it goes from low to high. It is very odd.

Do the Undrowning spots in the Ocean still work? For getting cars to drive underwater. 

 

Also does the two timing glitch for saying girlfriends work to get their fully proofed vehicles?

I just unlocked MIchelle and Katie (haven't done Big Smoke yet) so will try. It is so hard to remember the glitch. IIRC You need to pick up Michelle and have Katie stumble on you, but she has to nudge the car and skip the two timing cutscene. Then you tow Katie away as she drives off because she isn't chasing you.

One more question, do the Territory glitches work on DE?

 

When your territory gets attacked you can do some glitches like getting any zone to be GSF by killing the defenders while standing in that zone. Then you could mix it Ballas by purposefully losing the defence.

You are damn helpful regardless. People said it didnt work on the mobile versions and likely will not work here.
