Pissedboy
So red dead two gave a special 25 gold sale to consumers. So the first thing I do is buy moonshiners. And of course none of it is catered to the player. You have to Google where are the f*ck you can buy land first of all. You have to Google where to even f*cking go in the beginning first of all. And you need to Google everything after and before hand first of all. Granted I’m drunk as f*ck. But still how was anybody supposed to find this sh*t without googling it. I feel like GTA and red dead redemption two are just for people that live off of Google. You’re not able to figure things out on own. Rev. 1898
Learn it quick. It’s paying double right now, the easiest money in the game’s history IMO. aaronBLUEeyes and Rev. Gnash 1
FRIDA_KAHLO
I talked to the moonshiner gm and she clearly explained where the properties to buy were. I mean she didn't personally explain it but presented the list (I haven't bought yet, personally, but those choices are still in the menu for when I want to buy one). But in general I do miss games having a proper thorough manual - I surely do - feels very dirty trying to judge third party guides relevancy and discussions on forums. In this cowpoke's conclusion, you surely were right to start drinkin Edited December 23, 2021 by FRIDA_KAHLO Rev. Gnash

It's not hard to figure out. But maybe if you played the game normally without trying to shortcut then you'd have a better understanding of it. You don't need to use Google to play this game. You can absolutely figure it out on your own. All of the information is there. Stop being lazy and bad. If you didn't purchase that gold then it's likely that you would have 'figured it out' by the time you had enough gold to spend it. Additionally, if you didn't use Google, then you wouldn't have this notion that you need to spend the money on stuff. Which you don't. All you need is patience and to enjoy the game because nothing out there is pay-to-win. RDO is not a competitive title by any stretch of the imagination. aaronBLUEeyes
Or just pay attention to the cut scenes and in-game notifications — I didn’t have to Google anything lol. mojito
Well I play drunk as well lol I started around 20 days ago. I a got 14 day streak for gold and I got all the roles maxed out except for bounty(lvl22) and naturalist (lvl8). Truth is I had to Google alot of stuff but that is because I wanted the best and most efficient way to play the game. In other words if I had all the time in the world I would prefer to not Google and play the game with a more "raw" approach to not waste the incredibly inmerseive experience. kcole4001
Honestly, a lot of helpful tricks are not immediately apparent while playing the game. There are many "oh, so that's what that is" moments in the early levels, and often for more experienced players as well depending on your scope of focus in the game, or lack thereof. I learned a ton watching people play on PS before the game was released for PC so I picked up a lot that way. It certainly takes time, and is enjoyable if you're patient and find a streamer or content creator that fits with your style of play. Or just jump right in if that suits you, but you will miss a lot and not be as effective as you might be without doing some research beforehand. Not everyone wants to do that, and it will be difficult or perhaps impossible to figure out some things the hard way. There is actually quite a bit of depth to the game in regard to the subtleties of game mechanics, sometimes that's good and immersive, sometimes it's infuriating and makes no sense. I do think that playing the story helps a lot with getting a handle on how to play more effectively, but personally it bored the bejeezus out of me (I'm a strategy gamer - if I know the ending is scripted, even without knowing the exact ending situation, I lose interest pretty quick, I want to make my own choices).
