I’ve just tried the Rhodes and Emerald ranch cta, I didn’t manage to finish either but I did notice a target in both which I shot, anyone know if they do anything or mean anything?

The emerald one was at the top of the tower and the Rhodes one was at the top of the church, I failed the emerald one as I was running around looking for other targets or similar.

I shot a target that was on the water tower at Rhodes but I was too far away to see what I was shooting at and didn't see anything change after I shot it. I imagine it's what they talked about in the news wire. I have no idea how many you have to shoot per map and what that 'crucial bonus' is. Has anyone got them all? Are the spwns the same every map?

keep your head on a swivel for decorated targets and red cardinals strewn around the maps — shooting all of these in each area may give you a crucial leg-up when it comes to the more violent festivities.

We just finished the Rhodes "Christmas" edition of Call to arms ... We were a posse of 4 - (2 very good players, one average (me) and one rookie (not so good) .. Must say, I did not have a lot of ammo left when we finished .. Never seen so many angry NPC's in this game before - including some sort of Native Americans with bows and tomahawks, and those scary guys with a iron bucket on the head, and three wagons with Gatlings .. Not to mention Wolves and Cougars ..

The payment was very good .. One goldbar, and about 300 RDO$ (I think it was) ..

We also tried the Emerald ranch - but got beaten in level 7 .. One of the members didn't get ported back to another area when it ended (I spawned in the Heartlands ??) and could tell, that there was fireworks over Emerald ranch, although we lost (must have been the NPC's that had a party afterwards ..) 💥🎇

Good on you - no trace of rust ... 😆

But we had a lot of fun - keep it up Rockstar .. 🤟

The one time I completed Rhodes I did not find the target or see any cardinals.

Has anyone completed one and shot the targets and cardinals? Just curious what happens 🤔

It looks like you get extra weapons and ammo on the map. It included explosive ammo and other special ammo. They’re marked yellow instead of white. Also it does a fireworks show in the distance and you see flying reindeer go across the sky. It was pretty cool.

So I was talking to Santa on the side he said Frita you gonna put a lot of lead in those bad dudes stockings? I patted my long gun and Santa, I says, no I am ready you count on me I am delivering these dudes their main tree present this year.

My favorite detail is hunkering down for a pretend cocoa and getting all the item wheel selections in order, with the guitar player in the cabin, at hanging dog ranch. He plays a good christmas tune. Then when preparation ends, he sets it aside and we outside to our battlestations!

Just finished 10 rounds at Hanging Dog with 2 other randos. There's a cardinal atop a chimney which I swear I shot through when drawing a bead on an enemy, but the bird remained.

As for the battle, died twice (the second time I was thrown by what I assumed was the blast from detonated dynamite crates, got back up and was then killed by what turned out to be an enemy using a cannon!). The kicker is, having to sit out two rounds because of those deaths left me as the last character with any dynamite. Got to deal the last blows in Round 10 by blasting three War Wagons still around at the end.

We finally got all of the Christmas edition CTA .. The Hanging Dog Ranch was tough, as in wave 7 only one of the four posse members was alive, and over 30 bad guys left - he managed to pull it off, and we got it wrapped up ..

The last we took was Strawberry - it was relatively easy in the beginning, as we decided to dig in on the top of the large grey building with the flat roof - only three of us participated, and we kind of fortified us there .. The other two overlooking the town, and I was covering their back, keeping an eye on the cliffs and forest area .. Everything went as planned, until wave 10 .. Suddenly the bad guys with machete's began to spawn amongst us - it scared the crap out of us all .. One of our posse members left the roof and began to hunt down those remaining in the town, the other stayed with me on the roof, still sniping with the Carcano - I was litterally his life insurance, with a Colt Navy in one hand, and the sawed off shotgun in the other, killing the machete bandits every time they spawned amongst us .. I think I ended up blasting 20 of these dudes to kingdom come - the sawed off shotgun really saved us there - it is a beast in close combat ...

Still a lot of fun - although Rockstar tried to kick our butts by spawning bandits right in our faces ..
