sonnycrocket Posted May 28, 2003 Share Posted May 28, 2003 1. Learn how to fly the chopper. It´s not that hard after u get the hang of it. For this mission i used the strafefunction(button a,d) very little. 2. The timer dont starts until you pick up the x-plosives so go inside the building before and familiarise yourself so tyou know excactly where to go. Hint: the stairs haves no roof and if you go straight up in the staircase and turn 180 you are at the next floor a few seconds faster. 3. Your chopper is deadly!! before starting the timer starts go insinder and kill all the workers and policemen. The workers isn´t that hard to kill just land on the ground and they´ll run into your rotors and splash into FUBARS the police u have to fly into but thats not that hard. just tap the "W" button so you lift then use the "9" button to fly into them Good Luck! sambowie Posted May 29, 2003 Share Posted May 29, 2003 I mixed up with the controls. I thought I was a good pilot. MS-FS2002, BF1942 DesertCombat have good choppers. I took me at least 5 retakes, before I passed it. I edited the durability of the RC Chopper. Ballpython Posted May 29, 2003 Share Posted May 29, 2003 I guess you just have to have a knack for it. i finished the remote chopper mission on the 2nd try, only because i had to find all the drop points and ran out of time. jarryjayo Posted June 1, 2003 Share Posted June 1, 2003 anyone try a joystick or game controller, I wounder if that would be easyer. playing this for the first time on the pc, never played the playstaion version. but I am guessing it would be easyer flying the chopper with my WingMan joystick. mind you I would have to reset everything afterwords, too bad they don't give support for more then one device. such as mafia does or battlefeeld. jarryjayo Posted June 1, 2003 Share Posted June 1, 2003 I now noticed that, but have you tried using the new profile from the wingman center? http://www.wingmanteam.com/index.htm I tried it with my wingman extreme and it make it worse to use. but you could drive with the profile. http://www.wingmanteam.com/profiles/profiles_mouse.htm also may help to set the arrow keys rather then the default keypad keys for moving the chopper around. someone talked about killing the construction works first? how would I go about doing that? chopper has no weapons. BUSTeD Posted June 2, 2003 Share Posted June 2, 2003 My game controller works fine with gta3, using the basic windows XP drivers. It detected my controller, i told the computer how many buttons and control sticks it had, and it all worked fine in the testing program thing (control panel -> Game controllers) I started up gta3 and when i moved the control stick it went up and down the menu and button 2 was select and button 1 was back. then all i had to do was reconfigure the controls, and when it asked to press the key i just pressed the button on my controller, worked fine. One of the control sticks automatically controlled the steering and walking and the other controlled the looking about and hydrolics and stuff. Because even my older logitech wingman 93 version control stick doesn't work, it's the type you connect to the soundcard. my new usb one works sorta and only with the keymapping program but it's really really hard to control, i've read that vice city and gta3 both don't offer good control with controllers other then the playstation one and mouse and keyboard. Does anyone know if all the flying is just as bad with this game? I am really good at flying games, I play Battlefield 1942 all the time. I can even land and thats hard to do at times. but with this game I can't do anything. I tried killing all the workers seems to help but then I got to fly back down the stairs and by the time I get out of the building I crash and start burning on fire, it's really annoying. I remapped the keypad keys to up and down arrow and left and right arrow's hoping that, that would help. it made it a bit easyer but still. jarryjayo Posted June 5, 2003 Share Posted June 5, 2003 thats what I did and I got it, 5th or 6th try now. have to reset those dam Numbers keypad buttones to arrow keys is the trick for me, then use WASD for moving around, been using WASD for years now so I am use to them. after some time I got use to flying the RC Chopper, The trick is to kill the crew first. then go down out of the building and start planting bombs. cheers guys, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
