can't name mission

after i try naming my mission it just chooses lots of numbers and i can't just choose it what do i do

I downloaded your mission and tried to fix it, but no results.

 

At first I thought you've inserted a non-supported character or a invalid color code (if you accidentally press Cntrl + a invalid key) but that wasn't the case.

 

So I looked inside your .dat file and compared it to other missions I had downloaded. There's something weird in that file because all the missions had "SD/YYYY/xx.mp3" inside it (YYYY being random letters)... I made a totally empty mission also with a null mission name, it still had that SD thing.

 

I think there's two possibilites that is causing it:

 

1 - Something strange happened to your computer while you were making the mission and the file got corrupted. I'm not expert in that area but I believe it's possible, but very rare.

 

2 - You're using a non-official or an old version of DYOM (That's why your mission doesn't include the SD thing in the .dat) May you verify if your version is the latest dyom8.1 version?

i have the latest version with cleo4

i have SD but there is nothing inside of it is it supposed to be like that ?

Someone in discord suggested that it might be your GTA:SA version. Do you know if you are using GTA v1.0?

 

I never used a downgrader so I can't tell you exactly how you can do it, but I googled and that's what came into results:

 

And yeah you can leave the SD folder empty, it is used for adding music to your missions.

found out it's just my laptop i'm using my old laptop because my pc broke and this one is a mess

Maybe you don't have the libraries and stuff? try downloading DirectX and similar stuff like this, maybe it'll fix your issue?
