The LSCM Test Drive Power Lap Board

[éX-Driver]

In this thread, I (and hopefully other forum users) shall be taking every week’s three Test Drive cars on single standing-start laps to log their performance in a controlled setting. I will then compile the best times into a single leaderboard in the OP as time goes on, along with including the name of the user who set that time. I’m using the TD cars because they’ll be identical for everyone.
by ‘standing start’, I am referring to the first lap rather than the flying lap that comes from continuing to drive after completing a lap.

Happy christmas to forumers, another update to the lap board. Wasn’t expecting this week’s cars to be this slow, maybe it has to do with the Flag update Tuner cars got with the new DLC?

It seems that weather affecting handling in free roam is affecting the test track too. That seems to be new because i have done a lot of hot laps with various cars while in free roam it was raining and i was still able to get the same lap times like in sunny conditions. Today i did some hot laps with the zeno while it was sunny outside. Was able to get 0.53.xxx lap times while i was still looking for the best line and the limits of the car. Suddenly i was only able to get 0.58.xxx lap times. Went out of LSCM and it was raining.

It's always baffled me why the default track for Youtubers for testing cars has not become the LSCM track.

Probably because the handling in there bears no relation whatsoever to anywhere else in LS. Take a supercar in there that handles brilliantly and watch it slide around like the tires are made of sh*t, or something that oversteers outside, but in there is like trying to turn an oil tanker.

Unless something changed with 'the contract', as far as im aware its actually tied to the water puddles, if you avoid them you do get normal handling, if you hit them your car is sorta f-ed for a few seconds even if its not clear right away.

I kind of think they intended for those puddles to be 'helpful' for people to drift 'old normal cars' on that track? but yea terrible feature.

Not that I know of. I’ve just been manually clocking times on a physical stopwatch.

After several weeks of repeat cars caused me to forget about the lap board, I have now returned for regularly scheduled programming. Three new times, including one for a car that was originally lapped whilst it was snowing

I saw that new non-Tuners were added to the test drive today. Decided to do a quick (crappy) lap in the Astron just to participate in this game.

Got 1:07:180 with the impaler, and oh boy wasnt easy, the car completely loses itself in the water sections. I could pull off a better time if i tried for an extra hour or so, i might come back with a better time.

Yep using the boost in the beginning. In fact the difference between standing still and not was less than half a second.
