Randomly activated cheat while driving!

Hi everyone! So, i know many things about original GTA trilogy (GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas) and i have been playing it since i got my very first PC. And recently i decided to play original GTA San Andreas, but this time i wanted to beat it without using a cheats. And so i got to the mission from Mike Toreno in GTA San Andreas, where he tells you to buy that abandoned airfield in the desert. But, since i had not enough money in game, i decided to earn more, by beating some street races that is located in San Fierro behind Wang Cars Showroom. And so i started those races, beat few, and then i got to the race on a car called Buffalo, and before i reached a finish line in that race, i got a message that says that "Cheat Activated", and i noticed that weather changed. Now, i didn't used any cheats and all i did was trying to win the race, but it somehow activated it. And so, i'm shocked because, i encountered this random cheat activation first time in my life, cause i never encountered it until now. And after some digging i found out that, it's a glitch that is also known as WASD cheat, that activates at some point after you use WASD controls too much. And the bad thing is that, i saved my game after cheat was activated, simply because i didn't wanted to repeat like previous 10 missions because, i wasn't saving my game since i got to San Fierro. So my questions is that: Is there a way i can clean my save file from activated cheat codes, so it becomes clean and fair again? I mean, can i deactivate that WASD cheat and make it so that it was never activated?? Because, i don't want to replay GTA San Andreas all over again at this point.

For Classic SA on PC, SASE v1.00 is a save editor with tools for disabling the flag that cheats have been used, and if you dig through the Stats you should be able to reduce the number of cheats used to 0.

GTA:SA Save Game Editor v1.0 by Ryosuke: http://gtasamod.web.fc2.com/tool/sase/index.html

On the off chance that you triggered the only cheat (one of the Ped Riot cheats) that can do serious damage to your save file, it would be a good idea to visit a Chili Dog/Ice Cream/Noodle vendor stand to see if the vendor attacks CJ or runs off to attack other peds - an early indicator of the infamous Madd Dogg Glitch. If the vendor attacks, GTASnP.com has glitch repair Modifications that can undo the damage.

Ok, i will try that save editor. And no, i don't think that i activated the riot cheat because, all it did is changed the weather. Thanks anyway.

Tried save editor and it worked. Thanks a lot! It helped me. Now i can continue to play GTA SA like nothing happened. I just hope that, that cheat glitch will never happen again. Thanks again!

Hello! I tried the above and it was successful. So thank you! my "times cheated" reduced to 0. But guys when i activated the cheat while driving the same way the friend above did, i saved the game even though it told me not to. And now even with 0 times cheated in stats, the game recommends me not to save it. So, maybe i shouldn't have saved it in first place?

There are two settings related to cheats, and I didn't mention one of them in the notes above. On the Misc tab of SASE is a Cheated checkbox; uncheck the box to disable the cheat warning when saving. For some reason SASE always seems to turn this flag on. The other setting, as mentioned above, is the cheat count listed in the Stats page.

Just open the SASave Editor, open your save file with it, go to the "Misc" tab and uncheck "Cheated" checkbox. Then, go to "Stats" tab, find "Times Cheated", it's ID is 137, and edit it's value from 1 or more to 0, and then save the changes that you just did to your save file. And that's it. You can now play as if you never cheated.
