San Andreas Mechanic False Advertisement?

TLDR  a Mechanic that all 3 games has does not equal san andreas having an "updated drive by mechanic" when spinning the camera around. YES THAT FEELS BETTER BUT THATS NOT THE POINT OF WHAT WAS ADVERTISED IF IT WAS FOR ALL 3 GAMES

 

Now that the dust has settled and we have grasped what the trilogy remaster truly is.. I've noticed something that i feel has been swept under the rug and or has been changed in the marketing after the release. From the list of features that were supposedly going to be included with the trilogy was updated drive by features.

Now with the games being out. the drive by mechanics while feel updated in a sense, use the same mechanic as 3 and Vice city which was not advertised to have this "more polished drive by feature" Turning the camera left or right without having to use the Hard left or right camera skew. Maybe I'm thinking too deep into this but the advertisement terms definitely don't match with the final product that was released.

I think it makes it easier for us to shoot the gangs/police on the street. Instead of having to press the L2 R2/LT RT button(classic version) before shooting

I think that (even the original) should have had the GTAIV/V-style drive-by mechanic since GTA: San Andreas on PS2 has a cheat code that enables it, so it's already in the game. When I read that, I thought that that was what they meant

Thats not the point though. the point it there was a feature advertised being in san andreas. that essentially is not in san andreas but in all 3 games. but if the functionallity was infact just the spinning camera making it easier then why was it not marketed as so? this is the argument. not that it doesn't feel better. the fact that there was an advertised feature thats supposidly was added to san andreas that infact was not.

Sadly the cheat code doesn't even work for this which made me think it was disabled because they were working on the feature being main for the game but never finished while it being advertised for still

I guess you didn't see the picture. it specifically states san andreas. why does all 3 games handle the same when they just stated san andreas as having the fix

No, I'm saying that if the mechanic was indeed THAT mechanic of spinning the camera instead of hard looking then it would have been stated so in the marketing that all 3 had updated drive by mechanics.

 

I'm basically stating that i do not believe that the mechanics shown in each games today is what was supposed to be for san Andrea's. and that the marketing wording stated that San andreas itself would have polished drive by mechanics. 

 

 

Also it basically shows that everyone likes to be lied to in marketing and that its okay for Rockstar to do

Worst part about the "improved" drive-by mechanics is the fact you cannot go back to the original mechanic since they removed and re-released the PC version...

It was a good thing on bikes to be able to shoot ahead and still move the camera with the right stick. On Thursday evening there was still an option in the settings to swap. When they re-released it on Monday, the option was gone...
