GTAGuy
What I did was copy the gta-vc.exe file to the gta3 directory and renamed it to gta3.exe, well, the game ran, the intro movie played, and when it got to the splash screen that comes right before the main menu, it showed the spash screen for 2 seconds, and crashed...could it actually be possible to run gta3 with VC's game engine??....only time will tell... GTAGuy
from what i figure, major changes are going to have to be made to gta3, including combining the gta3.img and the txd.img in to one img file, like VC has...Also, some of the filenames may have to be changed so that the .exe will recognize them as supposedly being VC files, Ex: renaming the gta3.dat to gta_vc.dat and tricking the .exe from VC into thinking that all the stuff from the GTA3 folder is actually VC...It just might be possible...
