Ryan at the helm of Sony Interactive Entertainment, PS1-PS3 backwards compatibility on PS5 is incredibly unlikely. Putting the game on PS Now would be a mediocre compromise, too. Only PS4/PS5 games can be downloaded with PS Now, while PS3 games have to be streamed; with the inherent input latency + compression you get from streaming, coupled with IV's sub-720p resolution and poor performance on PS3, it would be a miserable experience. It still annoys me that the only way to play RDR1 on PS4/PS5 is through streaming, I really don't want that to be the same case with IV. I just looked up PS5 backwards compatibility (or the lack thereof) and am left wondering: How do console gamers put up with sh*t like this?!
