Ray Striker
Hi there, does anyone know if OM0 works in the Definitive Edition (PC)? I get to the point where I hear the call when I'm already in 8-Track, but in the end it doesn't work as it did in San Andreas. Do I have to change controls or did they actually remove the best part of SA? Edited November 17, 2021 by Ray Striker SeaWallTx
Ray Striker
Since 8-Track doesn't work on other remastered versions of the game, I tried to do the trucking setup. So shooting, waiting for the call until the last second possible and then walking into the circle. But sadly this doesn't work aswell. Anyone has any ideas? TomilovSenya
Original duping utilized Pause Buffering, so I don't think it's that easy (if possible at all) on the new version due to the new Pause Menu working differently.
rhans
It works but it is very limited. You must use the method used in newer any% (no AJS) runs, where you hold the submission button until CJ is out the vehicle with submission, to get a call as the submission is failed. It is a lot harder to perform it: OrionSR

OrionSR
13 minutes ago, jrbabbitt said: I have no idea what OM0 is / does or what, what is it and how do I use it? OM0, is an abbreviation of $OnMission = 0, a special game variable that denotes whether CJ is on a mission. When a mission or some other activities begin they will set $OnMission = 1 so other missions won't start. An exploit common to speed running and special vehicle collections involves accepting a phone call at the same time as starting a mission; when the call ends, Om0 is set, allowing for unique exploits. tantado_
With all due respect, I am on an Xbox One S, with a controller. I have tried setting the controls to something called classic in the settings, with the attack button and the button to do a drive-by together. However, it's fine up to the point where I can do the flying in the San Fierro arena, but after that, when I hold down the B button and try to proceed with the main mission (Photo Opportunity), the red marker disappears when I get the call the moment I get off the train. To begin with, there is no short ringtone immediately after leaving the arena as seen in the original version. My goal is to get multiple AP cars for the aforementioned mission.Note that there are only three types of button role changes. I cannot change them freely.
