[REL|VC] Liberty City Stories Beta Vehicles | Fan-Made Recreation!

Recommended Posts

sharpie_eastern

Hello everyone! 👋

I'm back with a NEW old release! Couldn't think of any better time to release a new mod than now 🤣

On a more serious note, I've had these models in my archives for about 8 years now. These models we're originally intended for my now defunked GTA: LCS mod. They we're designed and modeled by MMProductions (Matheus M.) in Google Sketchup (You can still find them in the Google Warehouse!). My responsibilities for these was to convert them from Sketchup format and port them to Vice City.

They're completely fan-made! Their style has been crafted to fit into the original atmosphere of Liberty City Stories and reflect qualities similar to other vehicles within the game. They're made to look like they would've been in the game

Originally I wanted to release these models packaged with the first release of the mod, but life happens and you lose track of 8 years. It felt like a real shame that all the work that went into these we're going to be lost to time, but not anymore.

I introduce to you, 12 new vehicles for your driving pleasure!

Provided in the download link is the: DFF, TXD, Col, and Data.

DOWNLOAD: LCS Beta Vehicles

Handling has been converted to fit within Vice City's handling.
Car Colors are available in Vice City or Liberty City Stories format, depending on your carcols.dat

Default.ide is most likely not useful for most people but provided regardless. The lines we're created to fit around the now dead GTA: Stories mod.

Apologies ahead of time for any possible bugs you may encounter. These models date back roughly 8 years and conversion methods for Sketchup files we're quite crude back then. I have updated most of the models and fixed issues, but no guarantees!

I want to give thanks for all of those who support me in my early years of modding and for the fond memories of the GTA: Stories mod. Hope all is well and you enjoy these relics!

These models are free to use, as long as credit is given to the authors

Design/Modelling: MMProductions (Matheus M.)

Good to see you're still around Sharpie :)

The vehicles look stunning ingame! They aged well. I still remember when that guy used to work on them. He even did the VCS BETA motorcycle at one point. Feels like only yesterday.

Welcome back, @sharpie_eastern! Good to see you back after all these years. Phenomenal work on the cars BTW, love 'em.👍

EDIT:

Is that your own LCSPC mod in the screenshots? Ryadica926 made a much more completed LCSPC port called Re: LCS, maybe you should check it out.:)

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I really appreciate it and I'm sure MMProductions does as well!

Haha, yeah these we're taken using my original Stories mod from 2014. I had to dig deep in the archives to find that one and I probably spent an entire day alone just trying to get it running again 🤣

I was aware of the Ryadica926 mod, but I remember a lot of the ins and outs of my version so it seemed easier to implement them there. Plus it's how they've would've looked on their original release with the plugins I was using. It'd be interesting to see how they look on more modern plugins like SkyGFX. My LCS mod was using way outdated method for things like reflections

Hopefully someone, even Ryadica, can use of them in the other LCS mod.

Haha, yeah I was pretty disappointed with the Tommy leak, would've never guessed the styling choice

I might be biased on which one I like better 🤫

Does this model still exists on the Warehouse? Because I can't find it

Wow, sorry but I unfortunately missed this one. Most of MMProductions google sketch up files are lost to time at this point. If I still have it, I'd definitely make it

Can these work in GTA SA? I really wanna try them out there..

Never thought of porting them to SA, but I have most of the project files still. I might give that a try one day, can't say when though.

I recently did a reShoot of some of the cars to try and showcase them in their most authentic environment and I think these came out better than my first batch of photos. Here's a couple screenshots to enjoy. Hope everyone is well!

It's posible use this mod on the PPSSPP or something like that?

No, AFAIK there is no simple way to export custom LCS/VCS model assets (PSP, PS2, and Mobile)
