@RithRake24 I would be pleased to add my mission here since the previous contest gone dull! That took me (2) days to make, especially the trademark logo.

Your mission has been added. Good luck! Let's hope more missions come in this time.

It's a new rule I'm introducing from now on, so if a MOTW concludes with no winner, you can use your submission in the next MOTW so that your effort does not go to waste. The idea behind it is that this MOTW can basically be viewed as an extension of the previous one which was inconclusive, but without a theme limitation

Hello everyone! I'm here to announce my entry!

This entry is a sequel to my previous MOTW entry, Forgerz In Da Hood. I highly suggest you guys play it before playing this entry, in order to get the full context.

Here's the sequel entry: Deadly Brotherhood

And yes, these two missions are the first connected missions I've made. (This may be the start of the Stardust Universe, lol)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA finally some mission. Hey! if you want to start an Universe, why don't you code a mission in Cleo? :D You could atleast add some turrets (like from that Woozie mission where you shoot from the helicopter) :)  oh and you can port CLEO Custom missions to mobile, can dm' you some easy tutorial how to make this kind of missions, and I would love to play it! :)

The participation deadline has been extended by 1 day due to a request from a designer, but also due to the fact that I will be away from my laptop and PC during the the deadline time today and won't be able to start voting anyway.

Hey everyone! I'm gonna review the mission I voted for: Time Crisis: Vanguard by @The John David.

SPOILER ALERT

First of all, don't forget this mission was made for MOTW #195 which was hosted by me and was a total disaster because no one else participated. I chose Action as the theme and John David made this mission to fit the theme. It feels nice to know that my choice of theme helped JD design this mission it helps inflate my ego.

And this mission is surely action packed. Your objective is to kill a dangerous terrorist before he does something catastrophic.

The gameplay is enjoyable. It's not too hard but it's not too easy either, it's challenging but not frustrating. You get to infiltrate a cargo ship and kill a lot of terrorists that get in your way. Their leader flies away and you get a jetpack to go after him. A terrorist in a Hunter tries to stop you, but his helicopter is destroyed by you. This all leads to a Final Boss Fight on top of a building where you finally defeat your enemy. Awesome action packed mission.

One thing I must praise are the Sound Effects. There's a catchy tune that goes on for the entire mission. Certainly made the experience better!

Anyway this mission is awesome. The best one this Week. My vote goes for you John David!

Thank you for expressing my entry! I'm so glad you enjoyed the gameplay! I love "Action", you know! There are plenty of things to do and discover something interesting where your character can go. Enemies and health-pickups there are well-balanced, just like you said, not too hard nor easy. Honestly, I did my best to accumulate the plot in one mission only, minimize the hard ways that the player can't get pass through, and of course, where the fun getting started which is Boss Fights. (If DYOM had more special features for actor AI like, custom animation, dodging attacks, and use cover efficiently. I would use them to make it more fun for players how challenging the boss fight will be, but it won't.)

And also, music are well-produced in the gameplay, it was very tricky how can I make the ambient sound synchronized as the player finish the objective one-by-one. But I've finally done it! Without music! The gameplay would be bit quieter and boring. (By the way, I forgot to put the 'TELEPHONE RINGING' & 'GUNSHOT' sound effect since I'm still suffering from life issues so too bad I didn't add them up.)

That's all I want to say! Once again, thanks & have a cookie :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:

It's been a while since the last time I've done this, so let's go. The order is what I played first.

Deadly Brotherhood

Gameplay-wise it was pretty basic, but playable. What's worse though is the plot. While the prequel was OK in my opinion (but it was more like a movie than a game), I can't really understand Louis's actions.

Spoiler

Was it really necessary for him to kill all these dudes? Like, sure, there was this pile of money on couch, but DNA tests exist. He also stated that he doesn't want to commit crimes anymore, yet he became a one-man army. I also didn't like how the surprise sniper shot was used again.

The Security

It's rough in I believe all aspects: from spelling errors from the first line (mind you, it isn't like all the other missions are 100% correct), enemies that don't aggro, plot being a wild Trump's dream, nonsensical enemy placements (how the hell did these Vagos get on the banner after I already killed some dude there?) to objectives being "shoot them, oh, there are more of them!" repeated over and over again. To top it off, it wasn't even published. I couldn't even complete it because on the "get to limo" objective the dude I escort dies instantly from Vagos. Sorry for being harsh, but it's hard to say something positive here.

DeathSquad

There's little to complain about: story makes sense, cutscenes aren't static and feel movie-like, music fits, models are great. The only issues I have are: maybe it was a little bit too easy, the door to the first floor led outside LVPD instead of actually the first floor and cops still spawned inside. Overall, I enjoyed it and since the ending is pretty open, I'm waiting for a sequel.

Time Crisis: Vanguard

I finished it in 13:32, but I was very careful, so there's that.

I liked that, since our protagonist's model is Claude, he never speaks. Nice touch.

While it was an enjoyable ride, I don't think "difficulty: random" is a good idea. Especially the segment where 3 dudes are shooting at you from RPGs is pretty irritating since avoiding them makes this part longer. I also found the first music track played too short, hearing it loop again was driving me crazy. In the final objective, I threw the opponent out of the roof using Desert Eagle, but his HP was so high he actually survived that. Overall though, it's a nice mission.

Vote

To be fair, there were two submissions this time: DeathSquad and Vanguard. I'm going for DeathSquad as it doesn't have some bs that was in Vanguard and I enjoyed the soundtrack more. However, if Vanguard wins (my vote makes them even), I won't really be disappointed.

I was sure that Louis's actions were very understandable. I will explain here why Louis did what he did.

Spoiler

The prequel had dialogue in which Cole says that Louis was once a 'tough gangster' before he left the gangster lifestyle. This shows that, despite not wanting to be a criminal, Louis was and can be a very ruthless and violent killer.

The reason Louis fought the FBI agents was simple: The last thing he wanted was to be in prison for a long time for a crime he didn't commit thanks to his disrespectful brother. It was all a matter of self defense.

It was the only way out because the FBI was convinced that Louis was guilty and they wouldn't let him defend himself. Seeing the bag of fake cash on the couch was to them enough evidence that Louis was guilty.

UPDATE:

The voting has concluded with @The John David's and @kennkielz007's entries tied on 4 votes each. @Stardust101's mission finished with 1 vote and @BobBobowski was unfortunately unable to win any votes.

There will be a tiebreaker voting round conducted over the course of the next 24 hours between the two tied entries, to decide the winner. Good luck!
