DODI3OG Posted November 12, 2021 Share Posted November 12, 2021 I've heard from a particular GTA Youtuber that songs which were removed due to license expiration weren't added back into the game. However, I also read from some article that these songs' licenses have been renewed. So, for those who played the trilogy. Are those removed songs back?? It's not a deal-breaker for me, but it's a huge game-changer as I really love a lot of those removed songs, particularly in GTA SA, where I still listen to them while playing GTA Online through my phone. Think what you will about the level of obscenities packed in here, but it's the last line in paticular that would just not fly in this modern day and age... He alludes to rednecks being punks, gay, and sensitive little d*ck bastards, which has negative connotations – I agree rednecks are not great people, but you can't go around calling them gay. I don’t think he meant actual gay people but I get what you mean there as I am an ally and definitely against homophobia and transphobia. We are on the same page there. My bad, thought that might've been the case as I did censor the derogatory use of the word in my first comment. And true, they could've just cut the song (as it does fit the setting and tone of the game well) but then I look at how they removed the confederate flag from Phil's shirt and in Colonel Furbergers house. Guess they're just being overly cautious – I could be completely wrong though, and it could have something to do with Pogo (the featuring artists.)
