Cars disappear when turning around??

Was this always so bad? when ever you look back cars infront of you disappear and vice versa even if you just look away for half a second???

Was this always as bad? it really seems like a glaring issue and it's taking away some of the fun.

for example one of the fun things in gta sa is causing a mass pile up on the freeway but this is almost impossible now because the cars just al disappear if you turn even slightly away.

anyone else experiencing this?

this needs a major fix. i don't care about any stupid visual bugs, clippings, etc but this majorly is harming the game.
